 [x|all bark, no bite|x]Welcome to All Bark, No Bite. A literate Naruto roleplay that has been resurected time and time again in the Gaian Roleplay forums, only to die once more. Auron, a loyal member from the very beginning, suggested to me that posting the Roleplay in balance would be in it's best interest. So, with his good advice, here I am.
I ask that if you join this Roleplay, you remember that we are looking to make it as long term as possible. Dedication is key, and greatly appreciated. Those of you still interested in joining while knowing this, by all means; Continue on, dear adventuree.
All Bark, No Bite is a Literate to Advanced roleplay based off of a story of my own. Yes, it falls under the Romance category, but who's to say that we're not allowed a little action and battle? Primarily, we need the main characters and our Mist Nin. But, just as important are the villians, who play a key role in the plot.
Now that I have explained the basics, I suppose it is quite alright for you to continue.

Storyline
The Hidden Village of Leaf and the Hidden Village of Mist have been at war for years. As a way to resolve these problems, it was agreed that prearranged marriages would be set up between newborn children of the Leaf Village and newborn children of the Mist Village, never to be told until the day of their sixteenth year. Now, the time has come. The Mist Children are being brought to the Leaf Village to meet their husbands and wives to be. Things will surely get off to a rocky start, and some couples may not get along. But is it possible that love could blossom before they are wed?
However, there will be no time for a happily ever after just yet. What would a story be without a twist.. Or two...
Little do the people of Konoha know, these Mist Nins, part of a plan for peace between two warring countries, are also on a mission. They are using the title of "prearranged marriages" as a cover, when really, all they are here for is to act as infiltration agents. While Konoha thinks the relationship between the to countries will grow strong from the joining of children from each village, the Mist see this as an opportunity to bring Konoha to it's knees. The day that all of the Mist Nin reached the day of their 16th year, they each recieved a message, delivered personally by a Mist Anbu. They were told of the mission to destroy Konoha while they were to be pretending to act as a living peace treaty. As well, they were told that no one was to be told. Not even their families.
So, they were trained, prepared, and shipped off to Konoha, via jounin escorts. Following behind, unknown to anyone other than the ten Mist Children, are High ranking Ninja. They have been given the mission of watching over plan as it slowly unfolds, and the Mist Nin have been notified to report to them once every week. However, unknown to any of the Mist Children, these ninja have been assigned another mission.
Who's to say that love can or can not be prevented. The leaders who hatched this plan of deception and lies are very wise, and know that anything could happen. Although they all see love as a very foolish thing, those who have been betrothed are young. There are chances that one - or more - of the Mist Children should perhaps change their mind on being willing bring about the downfall of Konoha. However, should this happen, the elite Mist ninja - who have come along to lead the young men and women from within the shadows - have been given other orders...
...Kill the Mist Nin and their betrothed.
Now, it's your descision. Do you continue along with the mission as planned, and spare not a second thought for the peaceful village that you are working against to overthrow? Or will you, perhaps, find a way to fall in love with this person, whom you have never met and are so suddenly engaged to. The fate of Konoha is in your hands.

Rules ~I am GOD in this thread. I honestly don't like to be a b***h, but I will if I have to. Please just abide by the rules and don't cause trouble.~
~No excessive cursing. I'm not saying that you're not allowed to curse at all, but every other word is too much.~

~For the moment, I don't want any extra people. As in, I'm just looking to fill the places of the Maidens, the Sons, and the Assassins. Maybe after those postions are mostly filled I'll change my stance on this.~
~Romance is allowed, and of course, very encouraged. But, please. Keep it PG-13~
~As of the moment, in the way of original characters, I am only looking for 7 Mist Maidens and 3 Mist Sons, plus the assassins. Once those positions are filled, I will not be adding any more spots and that's that.~
~I may not be asking for an RP Sample, but that's because whenever I get a profile from someone, I check their literacy by reading some previous posts in other threads. I find this a lot easier to do than asking you all to type of sample posts. Also, if I find that your literacy isn't up to the standards that I'm looking for (which I don't believe to be all that high) then I will turn you away.~

Personality:
Rock Lee is, to be blunt, devoted. He turns every single activity he performs into a training exercise so as to hone his taijutsu, and never seems to lose his enthusiasm. He is Gai-sensei's biggest fan, easily apparent simply by their nigh-identical outfits, and strives to earn his respect, doing so on a daily basis. Lee is extremely courteous, speaking in a very proper sense to everyone he meets, including his opponents. He also loves curry, though he eats literally every food on the planet.
Bio:
When growing up as a ninja, Lee was constantly mocked for his unusual disability of not being able to use ninjutsu or genjutsu. Under Gai's specialized training, however, he became an extremely potent ninja, ranked highly in the eyes of all but his own teammate Neji (who considered him to be a horrible failure). Lee's special conditions allow him to do things that many advanced ninja dare not attempt, such as opening the inner chakra gates.

Personality:
Asuka's the type of girl who normally knows how to get what she wants. Even though her exterior may make her appear to be a innocent girl who never speaks her mind, she's actually quite the opposite. She's an easy going, laid back, and lovable girl with a large heart, and an even larger sense of humor. She loves to have a good time, doing whatever a "good time" may include. She's quite the daredevil, seeming to be afraid of nothing, although she seems to have a major phobia of spiders. However, despite her seemingly cheerful and outgoing exterior, she grows very nervous in certain situations very easily. Whenever nervous, it's very obvious to those around her, especially those who know her well. She begins fidgeting with her mother's locket and shifting from one foot to another. She enjoys singing quite a lot, and loves to cuddle. In truth, despite her rough looking exterior, she's a kind girl and quite the lovable teddy bear. She hates it when people talk down to her and when she isn't treated as an equal with others her age. Therefore, she can have quite an attitude when she wants to and when she knows she can piss someone off, she enjoys doing it. Most of the time, she's easy to get along with, and very friendly. She's an animal lover, and was always bringing home strays in her younger years.
Bio:
Asuka grew up with only her mother from a very young age, her father having died during a mission when she was only one year old. Hence, over the course of her life, she and her mother spent much time together and became the best of friends. Her mother was her pillar and source of support when times were hard. As a child, she played with the other children as one would expect a young girl to do. However, upon coming into her teenage years, she felt herself slowly drifting away from her peers and classmates. The only friends she considered herself to have were her teammates. However, she wasn't upset by such a thing, because she felt all that she really needed was her mother.
Life continued as she grew older and upon her fifteenth birthday, her mother grew very ill. She was weak, unable to take care of herself, but Asuka was willing to do all that she could to help, even taking sick days away from training in order to stay home. Her mother's condition slowly deteriorated over the course of a year, and when her daughter turned sixteen, she was on her last weeks of life. Just before she passed away, she told Asuka of the prearranged marriage to a boy in Konohagakure, attempting to persuade her daughter that it was the best option that would guarantee her living the best life possible. However, Asuka had already heard of the situation, having been told face to face by an Anbu member the evening of her birthday. She was told - warned - not to mention the mission that lay underneath the "prearranged marriage" that was to take place, and didn't do so, simply for her and her mother's safety. Since then has been living alone in their house - allowed to do so, simply because she would be leaving soon for Konohagakure - preparing for her departure.
Since her mother's death, she hasn't seemed to change much on the outside. She still smiles and laughs like a normal sixteen-year-old girl should do. However, on the inside, she's being torn apart. Having lost her mother, best friend, and only family all at once, she's taking it terribly hard, but refuses to allow it to show. Instead, she keeps her feelings hidden, knowing that one day it may just be too much to contain and she may break down. However, until that day comes, she keeps a confident look in her eye and a cheerful smile on her face.

Before her mother died, she gave Asuka a locket. This locket had been passed down through the family from mother to daughter as a family heirloom for nearly twenty years. Inside is a picture of the Asuka's mother and father, just before they moved into the house that she grew up in. The other side, her mother said, is supposed to be where she places a picture of herself and her husband to be after being married. [However, seeing as how she isn't quite what you would call ecstatic about the betrothal, she isn't sure if she'll end up following through.] She holds this one simple and old necklace as her closest and most precious possession and never takes it off, aside from when showering. She wears it 24/7 and has never allowed anyone to look inside it.

She is generally quiet, caring and probably the most kind and sweetest person you'll ever meet. Although she is a very kind person she can be serious too and thinks alot about things then most people she has met. She dislikes battle or arguing since that is not her style but when needing to stick up for herself or either defend herself she knows she has no choice then to fight or even tell someone off even though she does find it quite rude. She isnt that talkative but that doesnt mean she is shy, she just prefers to talk when she has something relevant to say. Overall she is a kind,caring and sometimes tough person.
Bio:
Mikka was born into a family of ninjas. Her mother a very good medical ninja and her father being a skilled Anbu. She had three brothers...much older than her. Her oldest brother, Kyo...Was killed brutally in a ambush juring one of his missions to the sun country. It was a great loss and was a sadened day for everyone in the family. Ever since then, Mikka's Father always wanted his children to be skilled so that he wouldnt have to worry about them dieng on a mission such as the fate of his eldest son. Mikka's two remaining brothers and herself went on and continued to become skilled Ninjas, with training from their father. If they weren't training they would be studying and if they weren't studying they would be training. After a while Mikka's brother chose the path of the Shinobi but Mikka herself chose another path, the path of her mother...the path of the Medical Ninja. Her reason? Is was her personality and nature that never liked to fight. She didn't want to be a ninja at first but did so anyway since she didn't want to go against her father's wishes and would rather see him pleased than depressed. She is glad she became the medical ninja of the family since her two brothers have the faint fear of the sight of blood which makes her giggle sometimes since they are ninja and ninja do see blood all the time. Though Mikka is a medical ninja, after the long years her father trained her she is quite strong too and while fight when she needs to or when it is important but will never fight when it is not needed. She would rather find the peaceful way then have to use her fists. The only problem Mikka does have is that she can never turn down someone when they are in need, that is her only flaw, call it a unbeatable habit.
