 So he was alone.
He was alllll alone. No one to bother or bug him today! It was glorious! It was heaven! It was-
... lonely.
It'd only been months since he'd met Jaenelle, but this didn't seem to matter; the change she'd brought out in him had been progressive, but those that knew him had easily been able to tell. Not only was he rather cheerful as of late, but he at times seemed to bother silliness; traits of old that the kyun had thought he'd lost. They were still there though, dusty... but there, as he'd soon enough discovered. Not only had he more patience for Pyry's games, but he seemed to have been soothed from whatever bitter claws had griped him long ago.
To a point where he was not constantly seeking to socialise, whereas not long ago he'd always retreat to the proverbial dark corner of the room and sit by his lonesome. Thus was what had brought the silver kyun outside that day; the need to seek out something to do. The need to have a good time. Not like he'd voice this out loud for all to hear, but then again, all that knew him could read him well enough.

Sweet Solace.
It had been a fair bit since Soala last got to hear himself think, completely by himself. Sure his home had changed definitally for the better - tons of kyunru were somehow popping up everywhere, including some fatale females that he couldn't help but admire. From a distance..that is.. (It appeared as if everyone found a someone while he was gone!).
Padding through the seemingly empty area he had found himself in, his fires crackled softly and his paws made such a daintly sound when they met the ground, his telltale 'orb' of light illuminating himself and the area in which he was walking through, ever so softly.
Giving a sigh, his mind reeled back, thinking of simpler times.. even though they never had been truely simple.

It was in his rare moment of lonelyness that the silver kyun allowed himself to think back; way back, to when he was only a small grey mass of lithe quills. Had he really changed that much? Not really... it'd not been him that had changed, but rather, he'd merely been forced to adapt to those around him, he figured idly. It'd been those severe changes he'd gone through at that turbulent stage that now made him whom he was, and though he'd accepted the past as a means to create his current future, he was still somewhat bitter deep down.
Two names sparked heavily in his mind. Or rather, one name, one siluette; the name Oni rang out the loudest and the male allowed himself a snarl of frustration ashe padded onward, paws unknowingly leaving deep gashes in the soil as his claws bore into it. The siluette that rang within his mind was that of a young fire pelted kyunru; he could only remember him once or twice, but the memories were not fond. He'd watched him walk away with Oni by his side; that'd been the last time he'd seen either, after that dark female had more or less spelled out she was leaving her mate for someone 'more worthy'.
It was then he turned a corner and came face to face almost, with a red hued kyun that looked very much like a ghost from the past; the fact he'd been thinking about him just seconds ealier was haunting, and Gabriel gasped, taking a step back as he bristled, "YOU!" the word had an acusing tone to it as he growled; he recognised him though he'd changed. How could he not? That image of Soala walking away with Oni had remain forever edged upon his mind like the fire the kyun before him emitted. Panic rose up his chest then, and his silver eyes flickered left and right, almost as if expecting the Dark female to appear from around the corner too, summoned by his memories.
When she failed to appear, Gabriel lowered his head into a threatening stance, his horns pointed at the red male before him, metal quills shimering uder the light, "Where is She," he figured there was no need to spell out whom he meant, his stance and lips raised into a silent snarl would be enough to allow the other male to acknowledge whom he meant. It never seemed to ocurr to him that perhaps, just ... perhaps, the male hadn't been to blame. He'd been blinded by love after all, and saw things the way he wished to see them; placing the blame on Soala had been easier than accepting he'd been a poor choice of a mate.

It had been during his nostalgia in which made him turn the corner, walking blindly through the evening, as if he had been following a hidden lulliby that carried his deep thoughts all the way to where he found himself. And this definitally was NOT somewhere he had wished to be, as the fires in his eyes lit up again in recognition at the sudden face in his range of sight.
A defined squeek rang out in the night air when the silver Kyunru was met with his vision, almost like a ghost of the past coming out of it's grave to finish it's business. Fire burst and sparked from Soala's tail and mane as his rang out, but as quickly as he had cried out, his muzzle was shut tight and eyes widened in shock - what did the elder Kyunru want? Was it revenge - he knew damn well that if it had been, it would have been supported.. Somewhat. But he knew immediately that what brought them together was indeed the only reason the pair had ever merged in fate.
It had to be her. That whisp of a Kyunru Oni, who had played him like a violin, sweetly and softly, all the while the young firepelt at the time had no clue what he had been getting himself into - the rabbit hole had been so dark at the time, but the music was playing so sweetly until she had made it obvious that she had more than one string of fate to tug with. Due to that issue, it had been the original part as to why he had left, and why he had travelled so far - he never wanted to be toyed with again so easily, having hurt someone in the past so easily without realizing it.
Upon seeing the silver pelt glare around with his own eyes, and the accusing voice, Soala reeled back, his fire-bright eyes never letting the other leave his range of sight - his defence was not as good as most others, and he did not feel like being attacked by such a offensive kyunru. And then the words he had almost dreaded he'd ask about fell from the muzzle of the other, making Soala's eyes narrow and ears curve back, almost as if he were unwilling to wish to talk about it.
"H-How the hell would I know?" was all he could murmur out first, his mind reeling slightly still before it became eeriely dormant, sitting on the last memory of him and Oni, when he felt horrible about the misconception. "I.. I left that behind me a long time ago, I haven't seen her in three years, she wasn't worth it."

"WHAT?!" it was as if Soala had picked the worst words to say; they hurt and the male bucked his head roughly. He seemed unperturbed about the fire the other possesed; Gabriel possesed metal, they would not be harmed by the fire at all, but rather, it'd make the blade more deadly thant hey already were. Being burnt would would a necesary evil if it meant he could maim this one vicously, "You took her away from me; you ruined my LIFE just to decide she wasn't WORTH it?!" bristling, he lowered his head further, "Have you no ********' morals? Didn't YOU ever hear it's against unspoken rules to STEAL one's mate away? Specialy if you're going to DUMP her a moment later?"
Ouch.
Obviously, the silver kyun was blinded by rage. It wasn't unheard of, for after all, Gabriel had always been one to act first, and think later; he was passionate by nature, to a fault even, and he allowed his thoughts and feelings on the matter to dictate how he acted. He never bothered to ask for the other side of the story; of course he knew that Oni had been the one at fault, but still, it was so much easier and safer for his soul to think that it'd been this male that had stolen her away... and not her whom had abandoned him.
However, as soon as the anger came, it all seemed to drain out of him; it all seemed to melt away and out of his body, leaving the silver male looking slightly devastated even after such harsh wordshe'd uttered. Turning to face away from the fire elemental, he allowed himself to sit down on the ground, slightly sprawled, uncaring about his appearence; his head lowered down, his ears flooped lifelessly upon the mass of quills his head sported and his shoulders saged, "Why?" unlike the previous words, this one was murmured, breathed softly into the air; it was the ghost of a question, practicaly unaudiable. The kyun seemed to realise this, for he turned his head to glare very lightly at Soala, "Why?" it was repeated again, a bit stronger, but still the word lacked emotion, much like his eyes which seemed troubled.
Ghost from the past, back to haunt him. He thought he'd gotten over this particular trauma; seems he still had a bit of a wound to treat before he could forget it all.

Soala's ears had pinned completely back when the other suddenly lashed out verbally at him, but he almost knew he had somewhat deserved it - and that Gabriel was somewhat right, but only somewhat. He had been so young and she had been such a fickle mistress, her eyes said one thing but there was no heart in her to say another, and in the end, not only did she get what she wanted - she also tainted two souls on the meantime.
It was about this time when Soala was reeled out of his self-confliction by a pair of large and very commanding horns. Knowing all too well that the one behind said horns would all too well impale him if the situation had called for it, but instead, Soala took a heavy step back, his fire flaring out again on it's own accord. Silver grazed red lightly, as Soala blessed every lucky star as he watched some of his fur fly infront of his eyes, knowing all too well it could have been more disasterous.
Unable to find the right words to express himself at this particular time - it took Soala off guard somewhat when the enraged kyunru suddenly sobered up, and then sullened. Unsure as to figure out the other's feelings at the time - it took until Gabe had asked him sincerely, as to why this happened that the firepelt settled down, his mane and tell sparkling, and sputtering until it was normal size, burning idly once again.
"T.. That's a very good question.. I've been pondering on it for 3 years.." was the soft responce, just barely audible as he found his voice again, for it had hidden away, deep inside. "I h-had to find out the h-hard way the troubles and pains I was enduring on another's s-soul when I realized she was already s-spoken for." he just stammered out - if there had beena good time to just blindly stab in the dark with your internal thoughts, he agreed it was now. "It was only when she showed no compassion to leaving someone she called her mate that I realized she was not worth it.. she w-would have left me for something equally as wonderful, given the option.. I figured."
Lowering his eyes to the floor, his maw crooked in a half-smirk, almost as if he were sincerely bitter and at the same time, amused at the fact.
