Nathaniel felt real bad for Talner. He hadn't meant to burn the man's hand. He just hoped that Talner wouldn't leave him like his mommy had. Surely he wouldn't... he'd said that he wouldn't... But now he had been left here in the waiting room while some people took his daddy to fix his hand. They'd showed him where some toys were, but the kid didn't really feel like playing much.

"Now Irvine, be a good tot and stay here while Sis goes and gets her drugs." His big sister had told him, before she turned and went up to the counter and talked to the scary lady. "Wha?! What do you mean I have to have more tests? God darn it, I had only a million before," Irvine heared his pink haired sibling complain as she waved and went to another area. Turning he went over and looked at the toys, but nothing was really entertaining.

Nate glanced over as another kid was dropped off. This one had fur and a shiny nose. He wanted to touch the fur so bad, but he hurt things when he touched them. He had talked with Nara and she had set up a class for him where he could learn how to control it so that he didn't burn everything, but it still scared him that he could burn people.
So the boy sat, swinging his legs in a chair too large for him. "Hi..." he quietly greeted Irvine, waving shyly.

Looking up at the much more... Normal boy waving toward him. Blond. He wished he had blond hair. It was prettier then his brown fur. "Hiya. 'U's 'aiting oo?" He was still having quite a problem with his pernounciation of word, but Ishie was teaching him to say things better. The way they were sposta sound.

Nathaniel nodded. "I'm waitin' on my daddy. He had to go get his hand fixed." The boy frowned a bit. It'd been his fault that Talner had gotten hurt. "I hurted his hand and now he's gotta gets it fixed and makes it better." He wondered if the nurse was going to kiss his hurt and make it all better.

Irvine mouthed a large 'O' and nodded in responce. The young boy made him curious as to how her hurt his daddy. Aren't all daddys' big and strong? "How 'ou'z do tat?" he muttered in question. "I here 'cus Ishie, my sissie, got hurteded. She gots get medisins." It embarrassed him that he couldn't pronounce things right. He kept trying, though.

Nate frowned for a moment. "Not shure. Nara sayed that I can makeds things hot." The boy had been rather confused on what the woman had all said. Something about since his scroll was a comet that it meant that he could make himself really hot or something like that. She also said that he was going to get to take a class very soon to learn how to fix it.

"Nara? Who dat?" the furry toddler questioned, pondering the name. It sounded familier, but he's not sure how. Maybe Isdra had mentioned that person... Or maybe Dad... He really wasn't sure where why it was so familier to him.

Nathaniel frowned for a moment, trying to think on exactly who Nara was and how to explain it. "She be the person who make me and Daddy be together," was the best that the boy could manage.

"Ohh..." Irvine said. He wasn't sure how that worked, but he just smiled and nodded in agreement. "Nara sound nice." Irvine smiled at his compainion.

Nate smiled back at the boy. "What be you?" Since he'd learned he was a comet, he was now curious as to what this boy before him could be. Something fuzzy, definately.

"Um.... My sissy says that I a Reindeer. That's why I'ze fuzzy an' 'ave 'ooves." He wasn't sure how that worked and all, but he knew that his sissy didn't lie to people. She said that that was very bad to do.

"Reindeer?" The boy knew he'd heard that from somewhere before. Just where had it- oh yeah! "You know Santa?!" Nate wriggled excitedly in his chair. This boy had to know Santa. Reindeer were the big things that pulled his sleigh.

"Santa?... No... That's a weird name, 'dow." Did he know someone who knew reindeer? From what Is had told him, reindeer lived far, faaaar away.

Nate's face fell as the boy said that he didn't know Santa. And it seemed that the kid didn't even know of Santa. "But... Santa has reindeer. My daddy tolds me. D'ey pull his sleah when he brings pressen's to everyones."
