Never, in all the world, had a person’s eyelids felt this heavy. As the clutches of unconsciousness slowly slipped away, Inuyasha couldn’t help but note that everything hurt. His arms and legs hurt, his fingers hurt, his ears hurt, even his TEETH hurt for god’s sake. Only one part of his body seemed to not be pulsating with pain, and those were his toes, which were insanely cold. All in all, it was not a good way to wake up. To make things even better the stone wall he was hanging from seemed to be leaking. He felt slimy, cold, and terribly achy. It all put him in a very foul mood.

As his brain began to fully register where he was, Inuyasha came to two incredibly important, life altering, cataclysmic observations. He did not know where the hell he was, or how the hell he got there. That is a very scary feeling. Metal chains bit into his wrists, a rat scurried out of a crack in the wall to his left, it was very cold here. Every few seconds a shiver would shake his body. Inuyasha felt this must be hell.

Where was he? How did he get here? Why didn’t he know? Nothing in the world is more terrifying that the sudden dawning realization that you have no clue what has happened to you in the past 48 hours. Inuyasha found himself in a cell with no idea how, when or why he had arrived.

While trying to figure out where he was, he suddenly realized that there was something else that he didn’t know. Where were his team mates? Kagome? Surely Kagome would be worried about him. He didn’t want Kagome to worry. The damn woman was probably sitting a field somewhere screaming his name over and over again. Just the thought of it gave him a splitting head ache, but then, he may have had that head ache all along.

Well, at least he could remember that he had team mates, and who Kagome was. That was a good sign, Inuyasha decided. At least he could remember who he was. He was Inuyasha, the second son of the lord of the western lands. His brother hates him, wears make up, and hangs out with little girls. He loved Kikyo, who’s a walking corpse, and Kagome who’s from the future and liked to hit him. (At this point in his mental checklist, Inuyasha realized that his love life sucked.) He was on a quest to collect the whole Shikon Jewel with a perverted monk, an orphaned demon hunter and a smelly fox kid (His choice of friends was sub-par too actually). And last but not least, Naraku was his sworn enemy.

Across the room, slightly to the left a thick steel door sat resting on it’s filthy hinges. Inuyasha may have never even noticed the door was there, had it not opened. A squeak, shrill and loud enough to wake the dead, greeted the opening of this door. His ears laying flat on his skull, Inuyasha held back a whimper as the terrible sound echoed against the walls of his skull.

In the door stood a small girl, wit white hair and white eyes and a white dress. Inuyasha recognized her. Kanna, one of his sworn enemy’s stupid little minions, looked at him with the upmost apathy.

“Lord Naraku will see you now.” She said, completely monotone. “He will be here shortly.” Inuyasha stared at her, trying to understand what he girl had just said. Naraku was here. He was where Naraku was. He was in...Naraku’s castle. How did he get into Naraku’s castle? He wanted to ask, but Kanna was already walking away.

Naraku’s castle. Something like a light went off inside Inuyasha’s head. A few smoky images tried to weasel their way back into memory. Sango lay lifeless in Miroku’s arms, blood covering her fore head, weapon broken at her side. Miroku, dizzy with poison, clinging to her for dear life. Shippou stood, trembling, bleeding, panting in front of Naraku all by himself. Kouga laying lifeless in a pool of blood. Inuyasha could remember the taste of dirt in his mouth, his skull pounding, fading. Naraku laughing. Then it all went black.

They fought Naraku, they lost. But what about Kagome? Where was Kagome in all this? Why couldn’t he remember? Damn it! Maybe she had gone home, back to her time. That must be it. He racked his brain for her. Where was she? But the images started slipping away again, leaving only the taste of dirt and Naraku’s cold, cold laugh left in his memory.

The laugh started again, not loud and malicious in Inuyasha’s head, but soft and full of triumph from the door way in front of him. Inuyasha glared up. Naraku grinned like a snake. Thick, terrible, thick locks of hair was pulled hack behind his ears in a dreadful ponytail. His low, victorious laugh filled every pore in Inuyasha’s being with the upmost rage.

“Well, well. It seems you’ve finally woken up, Inuyasha.” The creature spoke.

“You sick little son of a–“ Inuyasha growled. Every hair on his body was alert. Despite the pain, he gritted his teeth. He would have loved nothing more than to rip this vile thing apart, limb by limb. “How did I get here? What happened?” He wanted answers. He wanted Naraku’s head.

“Cute.” He smiled.

The thing slid over to him.

It had been the most entertaining event in many long years. Inuyasha and his group riding against him armed with their pitiful weapons and a feeble alliance with a foolish wolf demon. Their deaths had been splendid. Smashing that over sized toy into the demon hunter’s head until it cracked in half, filling that foolish monk with poison, ripping that fox child apart slowly, ripping out the wolf’s heart. And the girl, the strange one, she was the best.

Then he stood in front of Inuyasha, too broken to move, too in shock to speak. He almost killed him right then. But something stopped him. Onigumo’s heart, his human heart, stopped him. Just as it had yearned to hold Kikyo, it yearned for Inuyasha not to die. Rather than fight it, Naraku decided that there were far more amusing ways to kill Inuyasha that would take time. Sweet, sweet time.

He had Kanna chain his new puppy in the dungeons of the castle. Laying in his bed, brushing his thick unruly hair, savoring the new silk sheets, he grinned to himself. This was going to be fun.

Leaning against the door frame he saw the most alluring sight that has ever graced this green earth. Inuyasha was chained to the wall, right where he told Kanna to leave him. The bottom of his pants were completely ripped off right above the knee, the top gone, leaving only the scarce remains of his white undershirt. To top it all off, he had the most lovely look on his face; total rage. It was adorable.

A simple greeting was met with a rough retort. Yet, Inuyasha didn’t seem to know how he got here, or where his friends were. He didn’t remember. His new little puppy couldn’t remember how he had killed everyone who meant anything to him. It had been to much for the poor thing, to see his love like a rag doll tossed aside, neck snapped, his friends, dying on the ground. It was all to much for the his little puppy. Well, this made things even funner.

“Cute.” He said, because it was all to cute. He sauntered over, enjoying the pulsating hate from his new puppy. Oh, it would be so much fun to break him. He was glad really, that Inuyasha didn’t remember anything. A toy is no fun if it’s already broken.

With a sigh of absolute content, Naraku took one long silver strand on Inuyasha’s hair in his hands. His puppy had the prettiest hair. A low growl rushed out of Inuyasha, sending shivers down Naraku’s spine, nearly sending him into giggles. Indeed, how dare Naraku touch his puppy’s hair.

It was such pretty hair though. It almost glowed in the light even though it was matted with mud. Long and soft, yet caked with blood and dirt, his hair really hypnotized Naraku. Never had a persons hair seemed so interesting, so beautiful.

“Don’t touch me!” Inuyasha struggled against his bonds. Oh, how Inuyasha wanted to hurt him, wanted to rip his throat out. Naraku smiled, licking his lips a little. Tiny rivets of blood oozed from his puppy’s wrists, cut by the chains. Naraku was like a snake, grabbing Inuyasha’s throat and pushing his head against the wall, and slowly, ever so slowly, licking that blood off of the tan, rough skin it stained.

He had yearned for this. His heart has yearned for this. The pure animosity radiating from his puppy made this all the more exhilarating. This was far better than just killing Inuyasha. He would kill his soul first.
