Biography
Boa Kwon (born November 5, 1986 in Guri, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea) is a South Korean singer, better known by her stage name BoA. She is active in South Korea and Japan. Her Korean record label, SM Entertainment, has positioned her to become a cross-cultural idol in East Asia and parts of Southeast Asia.
She has released a total of ten full-length albums, three mini-albums, two compilation albums, two remix albums, and over thirty singles in total in both Japan and South Korea. Sold in many parts of Asia, her total record sales are approaching the ten million mark.
She is fluent in her first language Korean, Japanese, and speaks conversational English. She is currently learning Mandarin Chinese. BoA has re-recorded several songs in Mandarin and written the lyrics for several of her songs. BoA is one of the most commercially successful artists in both Korea and Japan and is one of the leading stars of the "Korean wave" otherwise known as "Hallyu". BoA has re-signed an extended contract with SM Entertainment until 2012 for which she will receive 100,000 shares of SM Entertainment.

the_haunted_boy I love BoA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you know who writes her songs?
although most of the time BoA helps in the process so she
also add her own flavor in the lyrics.
However, BoA has written some songs on her own such
as First Snow and Konoyono Shirushi and help compose songs
such as the cute bubblegum pop song "Nanairo no Ashita ~Brand New Beat~".

BoA is a wonderful performer who has A LOT of stage presence. Even when your watching her on TV or from your computer screen you can tell that she has a lot of presence. But I hate it when she's performing and starts crying because it makes me feel bad even though she's more than likely crying from being happy. For example during one of her concerts she began crying as soon as her fans started singing one of her songs when she had stopped singing.

I'm glad I found this topic here.
Hmm, I like most of her songs, but I listen more to her Japanese albums than her Korean ones. (this is a Japanese guild though, so that's kind of obvious).
This is a very nice looking thread you have here.
I definitely understand what you mean about her stage presence. It's just so powerful.
