Lucid dreaming is the ability to know you are in a dream while you're still dreaming it. It usually leads to dream control, like flying, going through walls, and teleportation.

Sometimes, you can use a lucid dream to leave your body and go to the astral plane.

I basically learned when I was around 12 because my mom taught me how. I had a ton of patience, so I tried every night for months and months until it began working. So now I always know when I'm dreaming.

Can anyone else do this stuff? How did you start, and how often do you have lucid dreams?

I have them from time to time, but I just usually bypass sleeping and go into astal projection. That's fun!! But I have gotten into more than one tiny little bit of trouble sweatdrop

I wish I could even remember my dreams. The only time I will remember them is if I am half awake and I can alter those dreams easily because they start turning into daydreams instead. I normally don't remember my dreams unless I cant get to sleep, so I fall into a very light sleep.

I have really weird dreams, like once, I gave birth to a kitten. I don't know why, but it was a grey tabby wet rat-looking kitten.

Quite a lot of my dreams are at least somewhat lucid, but has been happening more since I've been 'training' myself more at getting more vivid, lucid, and better remembering my dreams.

I can sometimes completely control my dreams. I very often (at least every few weeks or so) have dreams where I make myself fly, even if I'm not completely lucid, I still know that what I'm doing isn't exactly 'normal' so I do it for fun.

All of my dreams are in colour, all of them are vivid, and I remember at the very least one a night.

I had a dream of flying last night, actually. smile

I have lucid dreams from time to time, for me it doesn't take that much concentration. I just wish I could remember most of my dreams.

I had a how-to thread for this in my guild, so I dug up the tips for remembering dreams.

***

If you can remember absolutely nothing at all when you wake up, take a few minutes to stay in bed and try to remember.

- A good way to do this is to slowly think of people, places, and things that are familiar to you. Go through each thing at a time. Was my mother in my dream...? Was my dream about work...? You'd be surprised at how often this works. Just today, I remembered a whole dream because I saw pigs on a TV show. There was an adorable piglet in my dream, and remembering that one little thing brought a flood of information. Sometimes all you need is that one "key" to remember your dream.

-Many people can remember at least the last moment of their dream, but nothing else. This best way to remember the rest of the dream is to simply go backwards, just like you would in remembering something in your childhood. Take your time in doing this. Ask yourself, "What happened right before then?" "How did I get to the train station?" Just keep slowly backtracking. Sometimes you may even be able to remember dreams that you had earlier in the night this way.

-When you wake up in the morning, try to get out of the habit of immediately remembering what you have to do that day. Basically, your dream memories will fade instantly if you replace them with something else in your short-term memory.

-The best thing do to is to wake up with an empty mind and allow yourself to stay in bed, relaxed and without thought, for a few minutes before getting up.

-Above all, don't give up! Good habits take time to form. It may be months before you start to remember your dreams consistently. You just have to stick with it.

I think you should be flattered. I dont think there is much to be scared of in that situation.

I will try those ideas too.

The first thing I think of when waking up is how I dont want to get out of bed. XD Maybe I should be thinking about my dreams instead. Im sure that will help.

I was able to remember most of my dream from last night! It was a weird one but I was thrilled that I was able to remember it.
