Ivy, Talim, Taki from Soul Calibur?
Namine, Kairi from KH?
Peach from Mario? (thats pretty old school...lol)
Lara Croft from Tomb Raider?

Maybe KOS-MOS from Xenosaga?
Or Meru from the Legend of Dragoon?
Or perhaps Erim/Lufia from Lufia & the Fortress of Doom?

I always liked *forgets her name* from Diddy-con (sp?) Racing. The female mechanic. I loved that fact XD.
I like Kairi in KH II because she didn't seem as vulnerable as she was in KHI (*puts hands up so as not to be beat by the KHII fandom of Kairi)

I like Lara Croft, even though I've never played any of the games..lol.. I just love a strong powerful and self sufficient female character.. its so rare... they always need saving..lol..

I"m a dork.. i agree with you i really like Lara Croft(and the games are great you should try it out ^^), she's cool, but Samus is still my favourite because when i played metroid when i was a kid i didnt really know she was female ;D

( Note: This is in no particular order. Click on the links to see their pictures! whee Also, I'd like to point out these ladies are all from Role-Playing Games (RPG's), as they are my favorite genre to play...) -----
Dark Cloud 1:
1. Xiao: From Dark Cloud 1, she is a slingshot-wielding catgirl who was changed from a regular housecat with the use of a ChangePotion. She's very loyal to your main character, Toan. Fish Candy powers up her defense, and her special ability is jumping over small gaps.
2. Ruby: Also from Dark Cloud 1. A beautiful genie married to the seaport of Queen's crime lord, Mr. King. She is a beautiful and tempremental genie who wields magic rings. Witch Parfait powers up her defense, and her special ability is picking "Gem Locks".-----
Final Fantasy X:
3. Rikku: A spunky and loyal Al Bhed Thief who loves her cousin, the Summoner Yuna. Her weapons are called Claws and Targes, and her special ability is Stealing from machina to dismantle it.
4. Lulu: A cold, goth-esque Black Mage who protects Yuna with her Fire/Water/Thunder/Ice spells. Her weapons and armor are called Voodoo Dolls and Bangles.
5. Yuna: Although this young Summoner appears physically weak at first, she is a very powerful White Mage/Summoner- and is awesome at Black Magic if you're willing to train her at it. Her weapons are called Rods and Staves, and Rings serve as her armor.-----
Kingdom Hearts/KH:CoM/KH2:
6. Kairi: A physically weak friend of the main character Sora, but her loving heart possesses a great will. Equipping the star keychain she gives Sora turns it into the powerful Oathkeeper Keyblade. (Note: I am a huge Kairi fan and I actually agree with you both on her weakness...that doesn't make her a bad character though, right?)
