Spoilers for the episode Soul Beneficiary.
Poor Bob! Trapped in his own skull for all of eternity for trying to bring back to life the woman he loved? Wow. That's different from the books. ^^ Poor Bob. sad
I loved the random golden letters hanging in the air, though. xd

Makes me wonder what else Bob has hidden in his past.....Sounds like the resurrection thingy was a no-no...I'm impressed though at his knowledge...

*sniffle* poor TV!Bob indeed. *violins* He not only 'crossed-over' once, but 'several times' Awwwww.
.... Although it kindof pissed me off at first, with the huge variation from Book!Bob, it was a nice touch.
The best comment in that episode: "I can't belive she wore those shoes with that shawl" *snicker* Now that's the Bob we know and love.
The best forlorn/sympathy look in an episode full of them: right after Bob tells Harry why he was trapped in his skull and Harry says "Oh Bob", I'm pretty sure that if Bob hadn't spirited off to his skull Harry would have hugged him. xd I think they left it out because the fans wouldn't be able to bear the cute slashyness. (another by-product of TV!Bob...HarryBob slash ideas...I think I'm going to stop fighting the impulse and just write some... xp )
@Sepik: random gold lettters- *grin* I like how Dresden trys to keep a straight face while dismissing them to Murphy.

So far, at times I like TV Bob a bit more than book Bob, but I am only 1/2 way through book one and all the way through book 2 (library doesn't have them all for some reason)!
Watching the new episode tonight, wanted to see the Jesus tomb show.

I have to say I like book!Bob better. He's just... so... hilarious. xd
Oh no. More slash. I can't escape it, even in this fandom. Jeesh. Heheh.
I really hope the writers of the show explore Bob's past more. Heck, I wish Butcher would in the series. biggrin

concure on the superiority of skull!Bob (aka book!Bob). He's more...real...peverted...and his snark export is exponential. xd
The Slash will always find you. It knows where you live. whee
I dunno, the TV people might take things a mite bit to far...it worries me sometimes. And Butcher...sometimes I wish he would, sometimes not, because with Bob's past unexplained it lets crazy fangirls come up with thier own little version of his past. xd

At first when I heard about How Bob was going to be done in the tv show, I was really disappointed, because I think the whole situation with Bob in the book makes alot of sense and makes him the character he is. After watching the show tonight(this is the first time I've seen it) I'm actually pretty happy about it and I think they did a pretty good job. I still think he's better in the book but I'm not totally disappointed now. I think the background you get on Bob in Dead Beat(book 6) is enough for me, though I'm curious to learn exactly how powerful he is. (I'm still pissed they changed Murphy's name though.)

It was a legal thing. There is really a Chicago cop named Karrin Murphy; although, I am not sure if the Karrin is spelled the same.

... It's true, then? The slashers really do know where I live??? They're always there... in the shadows... watching... waiting... perverting... gonk
I loved getting to find out some about Bob's past... I probably have to say that Dead Beat is my favorite Dresden Files book. So far. ^^

3nodding the slashers know where we all live. They're attracted to the Inner-Bob in all of us, becasue admit it, there's that certain blend of perverse snark deep inside everone's mind....OK, maybe with some people not that deep....positively out in the open in some cases...*WHY ARE PEOPLE LOOKING AT ME???* ... stare sweatdrop
Dead Beat's my favorite so far to (...that's the one with the Necromancers right? I have a terrible time remembering which book is which). It's more sinister and , of course, we learn more about Bob.
Does anyone remember the book where Bob creates a 'diversion' for Harry by slathering some intersection or other in marsmellows/marshmellow cream?

Was it from a fanfiction?
Sadly, there aren't many fanfictions in this fandom... sad
