Well.. not everyone can be a music major. Some people that start, stop fast. They're like "All this work and I'm gonna get paid HOW MUCH?! FT... l8tr." And they go on to be some business major or something.

I've been considering a career as a jazz trombonist, but my passion for history and languages may overrule that. I have a scholarship for trombone at a university here though so I may take a music minor.

Yeah, that's what I'm planning. In marching band, I'd get to play bass trombone (my favorite ^^) and then be in Jazz band too. It's a good scholarship, but the schools going to get needlessly large when alot of people move in.
I live in Idaho, and after the Boise State University undefeated victory on TV this year, we've got lots of recognition and lots of people are applying to the school. I hate crowded schools. -_-

I dunno. I've occasionally considered it, though I'm really more of a math-science person. Leaning more towards a biology major, or maybe organic chemistry. More science than math, really. Biology is, at the moment, my top pick.
Though if I did go into a music profession, I'd probably be an orchestra teacher. I love it. Orchestra, that is. I'm a cellist, technically, though I also play the viola. I have a really dirt cheap violin that I put viola strings on; yes, you can do that. It's just better to have an actual viola. There are subtle differences. Anyway, yeah. I'm small enough for a three-quarter violin, though. Which means I can afford to own an instrument.
But yeah. I dunno. I do play in my town's symphony, but it's barely a symphony. It's more a group of retired people and some high-schoolers. In all honesty, our school orchestra's better... Oh well. It's fun, at least.

I know what you mean about the town symphony. I'm in about 4 community Bands in NEPA... (North East PA) and it IS a lot of retired people, but I get paid, so I'm not complaining.

I've given thought to doing a music minor. I love singing and I have a passion for music. I've been taking voice lessons and have been in multiple choirs. I don't think I'd ever make a career out of it, though. It's just too competitive a field, ya know? sweatdrop

Exactly, and I'm not much of a diva, so I think I'll try something a little more practical. 3nodding
