1: RULES
Alright, so here's the way I work.

-No yaoi, yuri, or hentai. Sure, I'll draw kissing scenes, but I do not wish to promote gay or lesbian pairings, no matter how politically incorrect I am. Nor do I wish to promote underage, unmarried sex or anything falling under the catagory of hentai. I will, however, do slighted suggestion, say, a short skirt and whatnot.

-No odd friend requests within the order or something that's non-business related. I don't like it when I get orders saying, "Plz can i hve art ill pay u lolz heart " No. Just no. Really annoying and confusing. If you wish to contact me for an order, type like a normal person, not a drugged out teenager.

-I don't put rules on how I draw, so this one will tell you that the customer is always right, and so if he/she finds something about the picture that is inadequate or inaccurate, or the picture simply isn't what they're looking for, I'll redo it for no additional charges.

-You may now contact me for self portraits and whatnot and enclose an image of yourself if you wish. BUT ONLY SHOULDERS UP!!! Anything else will be immediately turned into Gaia as harassment.

-Be polite and courteous. Don't flame this shop openly. If you must rant and rave about how horrible an artist I am, please send me a PM. I'd be happy to hear all your comments about my work and my person.

2: Art Styles

Alright. So, I've been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pencil, only getting into anime just recently. And you know what? I make mistakes. I struggle with certain poses. I'm human, and just a student in high school having a good time with her art, though I've improved drastically in the last six months.
Now you're thinking, "Shouldn't this rant be under Artist Background?"
No, it shouldn't. Because I'm about to tell you I've drawn realism my whole life, and can delve into anything if needed. Here are my styles.

-Anime/manga
-Realism
-Art Nuevo
-Art Deco
-Impressionistic
-Abstract
-Anthro (though I rarely use this one)

So, when you place an order, specify which one you want. And I am able to mix styles, so if you wanted, you could have an anime picture that was colored and built with realism, but still kept anime hair and eyes and whatnot. Get it?

3: Artist Background

So, I'm not about to tell you my age, name, or anything like that, but I can tell you about my background in the arts. As stated in the post above, I've been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pencil, and am self taught. I have a couple books on how to draw, but they're dusty and unused. Basically I realized I could draw when I sat down at my kitchen table at the age of eight and drew my grandmother in realism, which I still have to this day.
After that, I studied facial shading and proportion from real life situations and then photographs, and went on from there.
It was not until recently that I found out about anime, and got hooked on Naruto. After learning to draw all those characters, which are really relatively simplistic designs, I craved more and moved on to anime like Rurouni Kenshin, Ergo Proxy, Hellsing, Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, and others. They really helped to develop my styles and show me what everyone else was doing.
But it still wasn't enough.
I scoured the web, saving every perfect picture I came across, copying down proportion readings and doing some mathematical calculations that would work in any pose or situation. I even brought the golden ratio into a few pictures (I don't do that anymore. It's confusing on a slow computer).
And things took off from there! Mind you, I'm still developing and learning, so not everything is perfect from the start, and since my programs are limited, lineart is messy and whatnot. But I can always clean that up.
So far all my customers have been extremely pleased, with only one redo, the customer wanting their character to be a little more muscular in the chest area. ^-^
I'm also a writer, musician of many instruments, band member, singer, composer, and lyricist.

4: Placing an Order
Alright, here's how it works:

-PM me with your order as follows. You may now post in the shop that you'd like a piece, and I will listen. Here's the order setup:

-Title of Message: Art Order (if pmming)
-(inside post) Username
-Art Style(s) desired in picture
-Picture price listed in post below this one.
-Picture description, i.e: Avatar art, fanart, commission work, etc.
-Character(s), avi, or self descripton.
-Picture size if desired or known.
I will probably respond to PM's more often, as I'm usually busy and don't always check the shop.

I don't turn down art commissions, and I never yell at anyone for disturbing me. Really, I enjoy the work, and think of myself as a fair business woman.

5: Price

The prices for my work are more than some people charge, but typically less than the majority of commissioners.Since I typically get requests for avi art, I started out with a profile run avi art shop, but have decided to expand my horizons. So, if you visit my profile and read the journal post, ignore it and pay attention to what's written here. The list is as follows:

An uninked, un colored, bluescale sketch of your Avatar or character(s), either skelatal or finished: 50 gold

A portrait shot (head and shoulders only) of your Avatar or character(s): 100 gold

A full scale shot of your Avatar or character(s) in a stationary pose: 125 gold

A full scale shot of your Avatar or character(s) in a pose of your choice: 150 gold

Something completely unrelated to Gaia or anime that is appropriate and digital: Prices Vary*(see below)

So there's my price range. I do traded transactions, so when I'm finished with your commission and you see not only a PM with the link, but a trade, just do what the PM says and you'll be good to go.

*Price variations: Something unrelated to Gaia or anime is not given often to me to work with. Usually I'm doing avi art, either realism or anime, and rarely do I get requests for Gaians for something that is not anime and not Gaiaonline related. So, something like that is a banner, a button, a personal picture of someone in realism, photomanipulation, landscaping, etc. Things like this take more time out of my schedule than desired, because I don't know EXACTLY what you're looking for. So, please make it worth my while. I'll gladly do the work, but it'll cost more. The most I'll ask is 300 gold for a picture that's 8 1/2x11 inches. From there down, we can discuss a price through PM.

6: Examples

These are only a few examples of the work I do daily, and not all of them are perfect. Most were only done to develop a style, and anatomy or composition was not a large factor. Here's the link to my DeviantART account:

twisted UPDATES twisted

It is now SUMMER!!! I'm back, guys, and I'm alive as a "romantigoth" can be (at least, that's what most people think). So I've pretty much got a clear schedule for this summer, with the exception of a few projects, and should have no problem doing commissions! So, if you want, line up and I'll start right away!
Thanks for your patronage!
-Daitai Achira

P.S: Check the Examples section! There's a whole slew of new images to check out!
