Marahute giggled as she rolled in the grass, causing the grasshoppers to lunge in the air with a terrified manner. She rolled some more, yellow pollen clinging to the golden pelt of hers, and blending in a lovely mix of color.
She smiled as she looked into the sky. She'd finally got mother to come out, and now, was on her own to dance. Of course, Anusha the two-legger wasnt too far off.. But she still felt free.
Flicking her tail as she stood, she snorted, which ended in a sneeze. The true by-product of pollen.
Again she giggled, and continued to roll.

The mother stood none too far. She knew to keep ehr eyes on the mischevious filly that was Marahute. Flicking her creme tail, she watched the filly.
"Stay close Marahute."
She warned, flicking her ears, and smiling.
Her lovely little girl.

Ah, spring; a great time to be out and about, especially now that the slush and mud was starting to dry out. He hated getting dirty, after all, and if he always spent his time in the air, then he'd be missing out on other...more enjoyable pursuits.
Speaking of which, he was in a remarkably mellow mood, having spent the previous day and night with a VERY accomodating and interesting mare. Consequently, he was a bit less scrutinizing than he usually was when it came to company, especially when he spied a familiar coat. A taken coat, but as he no longer needed servicing...
"Esper-Chica?"

Marahute was completely oblivious to the red pelted stallion that came her way. Which aslso meant she was still so young as to not watch the skies for signs of danger. It was a good thing her mother was by her.. For she continued on her quest of catching that oh so elusive grasshopper.

Esperanza bent her head to take a portion of the grass of which she had been wanting to eat all day. Her golden coat shined in the sun, and indeed looked like a ray of sunlight, lost and landed on earth like a fallen star from sky.
But then her mood changed as she saw a stallion, red in color. She'd known a few red Soquili's, and a couple werent the nicest. Giving a shake of her head, she walked closer to her daughter..
Then she felt silly indeed. For it was only Guilian, her brother of which wasnt blood. She had missed him! And she couldnt believe he was here to see her, and now here she was with a filly in tow.
"Guilian!"

He might have met many other Soquili in the course of his wanderings, but in spite of that (or perhaps because of that), Guilian had a knack for remembering faces. That golden coat was very familiar, even though his meeting with her had gone otherwise than he would have liked; as it was, right now it was nice to see her. She was a pleasant enough mare, and he'd enjoyed their earlier meetings.
Though from the look of that filly scampering about not too far away...more time had passed than he'd realized!
Smiling broadly, the red stallion walked up to Esper, bowing his head in greeting. "A pleasure to see you again, Chica, especially after all this time! I see that things have been mended between you and the mate, yes?" This was said with an amused glance towards the filly, then a smile back at the mare. "You must be very pleased, and my congratulations!"

Marahute saw teh red stallion, and loped over, making sure to hide between her motehrs tall- tree like legs. She looked up at her mother, and then over to the stallion.
"Sorry sir, but Im afraid we dont know you.. Or do we? Mama? Who is he?"
The filly asked innocently and timid. She wasnt shy around foals, but bigger stallions seemed to scare her a bit. ________________________________________________
Esper nuzzled her filly, keeping her golden pelt clean from the debris from which she had just rolled. Looking back up at the stallion, she smiled. It had been forever since she'd talked to her 'brother' not of blood, but of heart.
"Oh it has! I've been meaning to go look for you, I've just been a bit busy lately. Please excuse my apology."
She gave him a broad smile.
"Oh yes, all was mended. And thank you so much. I had two beautiful girls and a wonderful little colt."

Glancing at the filly, Guilian gave her an amused smile and a wink. "Indeed, YOU might not know me, little Chica, but I assure you that at least your mother knows who I am, as the fact she speaks to me with familiarity indicates. It's always a wise decision to hold off on assumptions, yes?"
Still, he was amused by the presumption of the foal; given how very rarely (in fact, almost never) he came in contact with the young of the species, it was easy to forget just how direct they could be in their misassumptions. However, that was amusement best received in small doses; even when he was a foal himself he'd tended to seek out the company of older Soquilis.
However, the filly was a mere side aspect of this 'reunion'. Looking back from the filly to Esper, Guilian gave the mare a warm smile. "I can't tell you how delighted I am to hear that, Chica; given how distressed you were last time over the current state of affairs with your mate, this new developement is certainly something to rejoice in. And three children! That must keep you both busy, I'm sure."
