Rapidash
Rapidash Rapidash (ギャロップ) The name "Rapidash" is a portmanteau of the words rapid and dash, both references to its high speed. It also contains ash, which may be a reference to its fire-type. Biological characteristicsRapidash resembles very much a real horse, although it also has a horn on its forehead, a reference to unicorns. Rapidash's head, lower back, and ankles are aflame with orange-red fire, which streams out to form an impression of a mane and tail. In the Pokémon universe, Rapidash is usually seen in fields and plains racing against members of its herd. In its natural environment, a Rapidash canters around casually, not in a particularly high speed. However, competition is deeply ingrained in a Rapidash's demeanor, especially if it relates to speed. If a Rapidash sees something that is currently moving faster than itself, such as a vehicle, it will try earnestly to outrun it. In such a state, the fire burning on Rapidash blazes at full power as it accelerates to speeds approaching 150 miles per hour in less than ten strides.[5] At full gallop, its speed is such that its hooves scarcely touch the ground. Rapidash's hooves are harder than diamonds, like its pre-evolutionary form, Ponyta. The hair on a Rapidash, much like its pre-evolution Ponyta, is extremely hot and induces painful burns if someone touches it. If the person earns a Rapidash's trust, they will be allowed to touch the hair without getting a burn. They can even touch the mane, which is actually made of intense flames.

Name: Diana Skyrider
Age: Teenager: 16 years old
Gender: Female
Pokemon: Rapidash
Starting Stage: Human
Physical Description: Diana is pretty tall for her age, she stands at about 5' 9" and weighs about 160 lbs. She has a very light tan from beings outside so much during the course of the day; her coal-black hair drops to just above her shoulders and the ends are colored a deep crimson. Diana has emerald-green eyes, but most can't see them because of the sunglasses she is often seen wearing. As for the clothing she wears, Diana wears a sleeveless white top with dirt stains visual around the chest and shoulder areas. She also wears a pair of sun-bleached jeans with one leg cut to just above her knee; this also has dirt stains on it. Finally, Diana wears regular sneakers; she wears alomst no jewelry except for a silver bracelet around her right wrist.
Personality: Diana Skyrider is a hyperactive person and a true social butterfly among her fellow trainers. Her antics and random words that fly out of her mouth seem to amuse anyone (even pokemon) and is capable of cheering up even the most depressed being. She does, however, have a sharp temper and does lash out at those who push the young trainer beyond a certain point. This includes: Jocks, preppy kids, rich, snotty kids, and those who think of her as a helpless, little girl. (The latter usually get a bloody nose after a certain point)
History: Diana was born and raised on her families' ranch in Johto. Her father breeds and raises Ponyta and Rapidash; he also participates in the Pokemon Grand Prix, while her mother is a Pokemon Contest trainer. A true-blue pokemon lover, Diana helps her Mother and Father out whenever she can. By the time she reached the age of 12 years, the young trainer had captured and raised a pikachu along with her Ponyta (now a Rapidash) and the three have created a strong bond together.
Strengths: Food (especially fruits and sweets), comics, pokemon, drawing, sleeping, and training.
Weaknesses: Sour junk, hot summer days, walking for extremely lone periods of time, and snobby people.

Diana gently pulled back on the reins of the bridle, slowing the powerful stallion from his trot to a slow-paced walk. No need to rush...they would reach Celadon City within the next few hours. Sitting up a little straighter, the young trainer eyed the dark forest in front of them.
"Aw man......Bobby was right....I am a scardy-cat, especially with dark places...." Cringing at the embarassing memory of a brother/sister hissy-fit, she gave a nervous laugh...much to the annoyance of her Rapidash, who gave a snort and sharp toss of his head. Turning in the direction of his friend, he gave her a critical glare.
"What the-? Now don't look at me like that! You know...." Sighing, she finally admitted defeat; there was no use argueing with the stubborn Rapidash. Nudging him with her heels, the two started towards the darken shadows.

"You lost it, didn't you? You know the boss is going to have our heads for this..."
"I didn't lose it! You did!"
"How dare you accuse me... Wait...shut up!" A muffled scuffling accompanied the sudden disappearance of the two military officers. At least, they seemed like military, what with the official uniforms and all. Crouching in the undergrowth, the two men watched silently as a young lady on a Rapidash appeared, trotting in their direction. She seemed hesitant for a moment, but then dove into the shadows of the forest, heading straight towards their position.
"We may have lost the target," one man whispered to the other, "but that doesn't mean we have to head back to base empty-handed." His sinister grin said it all and the other man hid a soft, dark chuckle.

A faint scuffling noise nearby attracted the attention of Dianas' Rapidash; snorting at the moving bushes, it paused and started to make a motion to turn back the way it came.
Meanwhile, Diana had been staring off into la-la land when the sudden jerk brought her back to Kanto.
"Rapidash! You tryin' to make me fall or somethin'?! C'mon, this is the fastest route to-"
That's when the bushes caught her attention; feeling her trainer sense tingling at the possiblity of a wild pokemon, Diana climbed down from her mounts' back and readied a pokeball.

Sneering, one guard turned to the other, whispering quietly, but frantically. "We've been detected. You've got those special Capture Balls that HQ gave us in case of emergency?"
"Sure do."
"Good, 'cause I think we have an emergency."
Taking a deep breath, the first man stood, followed quickly by the next as they both tossed out Pokeballs. "You! Surrender immediately and no one gets hurt!"
Directly in front of the girl and her Rapidash, a snarling Mightyena appeared, followed by a flapping Pidgeot who whirled and spiralled up into the air, vision locked on the fiery horse.
