Riku stretched as he yawned. It had been a while since he'd been out of the shop, a very long while at that.
He was looking forward to spending some time on himself, and his wallet was more than fat enough from extra chores to allow him to have as much fun as he wanted.
With a grin, he took off in a sprint down the street, heading for one of Traverse's main shopping plazas.

Jubilee sat on the lowest branch of a tree on the side of the street, zapping leaves at the end of the branch and watching the charred remains drift to the ground.
She pushed her messy hair out of her face and sighed. She was boooorreed. Why didn't anyone interesting come down the road? Last time she was here, Mozenrath and his crazy brother had come through. But she had been sitting here for over an hour now with no sign of life.
Maybe she should just give up and go back to the Castle.
She suddenly swung sideways, so she was hanging upside down from the branch.

Riku slid to a stop on his way to the plaza as a girl swung down from a tree branch into an upside down hanging position right in his path. Coming to a full stop in leaned back crouch, a hand out behind him on the ground to keep him from falling, to avoid hitting her, his face about six inches from hers.
This...was awkward...

The little asian girl tilted her head to the side, looking at the boy.
"Do I know you?" She asked, not bothering to either go right side up or drop out of the tree. It was kind of comfortable being upside down.

Riku blinked thoughtfully. He honestly couldn't remember. "I...don't think so..." He said with a bit of a gulp. Was the girl oblivious to what had just happened, or did she maybe just not care?
Riku shifted his weight around a bit, he was trying to figure out how to move out from under where the girl as hanging with out losing face in anyway. Though such a thing might be impossible at that point...

Jubilee started rocking forward and back from where she was hanging. Hey, this was pretty easy! She wondered if she could let go with her legs and flip down from the tree. Didn't Mozenrath's brother do something like that? If he could, certainly SHE could.
Hmm. She suddenly let go, before her face hit the boy's and tried to flip backwards.
"Oof!" she cried, landing on her back. Well that wasn't supposed to happen. Ah well. She jumped up and dusted off her jacket.

Yep, there went saving face. "You ok?" Riku asked as he adjusted himself so he was in a proper crouch and then to his feet as the girl began to dust herself off.

"Oh, I'm just fine," she said, not seeming to be bothered to have fallen at least 2 feet onto the ground. "Worser things have happened to me," she added shrugging.
"So. Who are you then?"
He didn't seem much older or bigger then her, and to Jubilee that equalled trouble. Mozenrath's brother was a brat and both of her sister's her size were crazy, in one way or another. This one didn't seem to interesting, and she took to zapping things on the ground.

"Riku." The teal eyed boy answered simply, and with a shrug. "And you would be?" He asked in return, watching as the girl zapped away. This wasn't thing new to him of course, but her zaps were...colorful, compared to most others.

"I'm Jubilee," she answered, continuing to zap things boredly.
She wondered how much he'd jump if she zapped at him...
Jubilee giggled to herself as she eyed him. He'd probably be to quick on his feet. That wouldn't make it much fun.

"Oh no...I get quite enough of that at home when dad sleep walks thank you very much." Riku said a 'don't even think it' tone. He knew that look, it was the same look his two younger brothers gave him before they tried to double team him.
And with a girl that could shoot...what ever it was that she was shooting...it could only mean one thing. 'Target Practice.'
