Reina walked down the cold, lonely sidewalk with her knit coat over her head. She didn't want to run, since she was afraid she would trip.he stopped for a moment to rest on a bench near a miniscule so-called park. She watched the cars whiz by her, one by one. She opened her knapsack, only to see her schoolwork completely soaked. "Why me?" she quietly asked herself. This was the question that ran her life.

She almost smiled. "Thanks.....?" she said questioning what his name was. She thought she might have seen him before, but wasn't sure.

"Raphael. You seem so familiar? Have we ever met or is this the first time I've met you?" she asked the dark looking man. It was strange, his presence. He made her feel dark and dangerous, yet, she was somewhat attracted to it.

"Around? Hmm. Well, this may seem awkward, but would you care to walk with me? Just to my house. It's not far from here," she asked kindly. Her eye makeup had already started to blend in with her cheeks.

She put her hand on top of his as he wiped her cheek. She hadn't had anyone touch her face in a long time. She wondered if there was something different about him. She felt it.

"Not sure," she said and stood up. She walked along side him. She tugged at her jacket sleeves, hoping they would cover her wrists that were tattered up. "So, what do you do in this town?" she asked with the most corny conversation starter.
