i've only heard i think five or six songs by them, but i love each of them. does anyone else think this band is awesome? any significant info about them?

I'll admit that they're good technically. There's only one small thing that bugs me. Their songs sound the same. Take any of thier albums, and try this: Play a short clip of each song without letting the person know that you're switching songs and ask them what they think. They won't know that you're changing songs.
I'm not dissing them, I just wish that they'd write some stuff that doesn't sound like horses galloping (and I know there are a few odd songs that are different, but 90% of the stuff is the same tempo and key).

hylianhero: i've noticed that too. but to be honest, it doesn't really bug me that much, because i love the sound, the speed, the lyrics, everything about the songs. maybe i'll get tired of it eventually...*shrug*

I see alot of stuff about them "sucking". But I want to see the people that claim this write a better song. That EVERYONE thinks is better not just like four people. So take that as a Freakin' awesome.

lol my friend once told me this about dragonforce when i asked him if he liked them:
"HOLY s**t DUDE YEAH! THEY'RE LIKE THE MOST INSANE BAND IN THE WORLD! did you know, when they started out, god was their guitar player, but he wasn't good enough, so they kicked him out and herman li took over."
haha i laughed pretty hard at that.

lame. speed doesnt make up for the lack of creativity. they are horrible live, and ive heard rumors that they slow down the rhythm record the solos slowly and speed it back up...if you listen to it the solos do sound sped up, they arent "organic" enough to be at real time(i go to school for music recording, i can spot this stuff cause ive messed around with all the awesome stuff pro studios have xd )

Herman Li is a good guitar player, I like Dragonforce and all. But he needs to SLOOOOOOW down just a bit with his playing so it won't be sloppy and it'll be clean and crisp. He's also admitted to speeding up his solos, if you didn't know. I still say he's a good guitar player because I couldn't play half of what he does but still he needs to not try and be faster than what he really is. It makes him look bad and people see it and that's why alot of people don't like Dragonforce because of reasons like that. Sam just looks funny lol, as I said I like Dragonforce, they're really talented. I've seen them live, and they did kinda suck. I guess I'll just have to catch another show and hopefully see something better, who knows maybe they were just having a bad night.

Dragonforce sux!!!
Sure they can play fast but thats all they can do. All there songs are so fast you can hardly tell them apart except for the lyrics.
As you can tell I don't like them but as masterofhorror81 said, They need yo slow down if they want to make a REAL impact.

I respect Dragonforce as musicians and a band and I have tried to get into there music but it just annoys me and I hate them and there video game sounds but thats just me. If your into there music Im sure its great for what it is just my thing though.
