I want to know why too. The most common answer that I see is that people hate the fact that he left to gain knowledge under Orochimaru that Kakashi probably couldn't have possibly given him. I think that the most recent manga chapter kind of makes that nil, though. *gets giddy*
But yeah, I'm curious as well because I see so much Sasuke-hate in this guild (and ironically in the SasuNaru guild as well), and I adore Sasuke-teme. *huggles my Sasu-plushie*

well yeah hes a traitor but hes a cute one! heart oh and HES NOT EMO because if you came home one day and found out your bro or sis killed your entire family wouldnt you be a bit depressed or want to kill the killer?

I see people say they hate Sasuke a lot too; he seems to almost be a 'you either love him or hate him' kind of character. Haha! ^_^

I think people dislike him because they think he's emo (this phrase wasn't around a year ago and now it's everywhere, ugh!). Whatever that means.
Also, they probably dislike him because he's a traitor. People keep saying he should 'get over it' (just like they would if their family was murdered rolleyes ).
