AHH!
I'm nuts about the new items but they are CRAZY expensive. crying I've wished they would make a big white poofy wig like that for a while. Alas, I didn't think it would be in the 47000 range! I want all of the items but I'll never be able to afford any of them. And buying one is no fun when I'd have to wait months for the rest. Bah! I just thought I would whine about it in a place where there's sure to be sympathy. wink
So, what do you think?

I agree, I like some of the items, but they are très expensive. Alas, no big Madame de Pompadour wig for me either.

The new items are supposed to be a goldsink. But I don’t like the pricing even though I agree with the purpose. The itmes should be pricier because of the work put into them, but I also think the prices should start from 40k and work their way down, not start at 56k. That way it helps deflate some items, while given others something that doesn’t inflate to quest for, but actually makes an items attainable without months upon months of questing for a single set.

I bought all the ones I needed to buy (I'd like the black shirt and coat, but I HAD to get the red ones) and the fan, although pricey, is WAY cheeper then those fans from the Prize and Joy (and that's if they're being sold on the marketplace at the time). Yeah, I'm broke (I went from like almost 200k to 376), but everything I'd like is godly priced anyways...

I am amazed at how quickly they are showing up inthe marketplace! Are people buying them and turning around to sell them as soon as the purchase is through?

Mm, the items are kinda sexy but nothing's worth adding onto my quest thread. At least nothing yet.

I've been buying duplicates of the old donation items for a while now out of sheer boredom. I'll probably buy these now instead. What bothers me is that it's a sink. I understand the purpose but I would honestly rather give my gold to a person than throw it into the ether.

I love the new items... I want all of them, except for the female wig and the poofy skirt. I can actually afford them, as well, except for the fact that I want to buy three different colors of the coats and vests. That's getting a little pricey, even for me. sweatdrop So I'll have to make a decision on what colors I absolutely have to have.

I agree. I think it's a brilliant concept, but what do they do with the higher gold cost?
Let's face it, people spend too much time on Gaia questing as it is. I know I do. Last thing I need is another hook in me to say "well... maybe just a few more minutes playing this game or surfing the site".
The donation items I understand completely, it encourages people to help fund the site.

i'll be passing up the new items. i just don't have the time to go around questing for stuff that will take me the better part of a year to get, just to see that half the people have already bought them and got bored with them. i think i'll just stick with my kilt.

I got so excited about them that I went out and spent pretty much all of my gold on them! I'm having a little buyer's remorse, but I do really like the way my avi is looking...

They are nice and such, but not something I want to spend my gold on. I used to think that the French clothes looked so cool and all, but now I'm not so sure any more and plus they're darned expensive. Now if they could get something in the way of formalwear for the 20th and 21st century I might actually buy it (unless it too is VERY expensive).
