Her talk with Nostalgia had made her feel much better. She could deal with this. She was strong and she had a strong stallion beside her, or she would when she found him and said sorry, and she could handle a family.
She'd be a damn good mother to the foals too. They'd learn that Remy was a scoundrel and that they weren't to take after him and that they had to treat everyone equally rather than staring at them because they were different. Her foals would be perfect in every way and they're family would be good. Even if Remy already had one.
Shaking her head she went in search of the stallion. She could apologize to him and tell him that she hadn't really meant what she'd said. She was just startled and confused and a little just out of whack. He'd understand.

He had been spending alot of time closer to the lake in hopes of making himself easier to find if Rogue ever changed her mind about him... About the mess that they'd gotten themselves into that really wasn't a mess. No. It was a blessing. All life was, especially life between two who cared so much about each other.
He'd gone through various bouts of wondering whether or not she actually cared... Hoping that she was alright wherever she was... And fighting the urge to go hunt her down and yell at her some more. He was worried sick! With stallions like Nuka around what if something happened to her?
He sighed heavily as he stared down at his reflection in the lake. "S'a fine mess ya've gotten y'self in. What you gonna do if she don't come back?"

"Doubting me already? I said i'd come back." She shook her head slowly as she walked toward the dark blue stallion. She'd seen him standing by the lake and had wondered why he wasn't somewhere around the forest.
"I know i said it too." She had told him that she'd come back when she was calmed down and she had. There's no way she wouldn't keep her word with something like that.

He turned his head towards the sound of the mare's voice, eyes going wide for a moment before he let his head hang. He took a deep breath, holding it for a moment before speaking slowly and softly."Ah'm lucky... Ah'm lucky when it come to lots o' things, Chere... But when it comes to people comin' back after they left? Non, Ah ain't got no luck with that." He paused for a moment, lifting his gaze to look at her without raising his head. "Y'aliright, Chere? Nothin' bad happened?"

"A girl has to keep her word." She stopped a little bit away from the stallion. "Nothing bad happened. I .. i did meat another mare but she was nice." Even if she did have chains on her and glowed she was still kind so she wouldn't hold that against her.

"Ah'm glad y'allright..." He nodded slowly only to turn that movement into a shake of his head. "Non. Jus' got here. Figured Ah'd make ma'self easier ta find 'stead o' wand'rin' off somewhere." He had wandered for a bit... But after every place he'd wandered to he'd returned here.

"Well it certainly does make you easer to find" She smiled at him slightly. "Look ... i'm sorry for what i said earlier. I was just startled is all. I didn't mean to take it out on you."
He hadn't been stupid about it like Nostalgia's stallion. He had told her that he'd be there and well pretty much demanded that she let him be. So she couldn't blame him as long as he was willing to take care of the foals.

"Y'don't have ta be sorry, Chere... Y'said what was on your mind." His tail gave a slight flicker as he turned his head back towards the lake, gazing at his reflection in it... Apology or no, he still found himself feeling every bit as irresponsible as she'd tried to make him feel. He was still having a hard time believing that she was actually there... And not still off somewhere trying to find someone better.

Sighting slightly she moved closer and rubbed her nose against Remy's neck. "Yes but i was mean about it. I shouldn't have been so ... hard on you" She had done the same thing he had so she should have just forgiven him.

He turned his head slowly, brushing his cheek against hers. "Does that mean y'gonna let me stick around, Chere? Ah might not be th'best parent out there... But Ah try an' that gotta count for somethin', don't it?" His other foals had turned out just fine so far... He hadn't done anything wrong with them and he'd be damned if he'd let anything happen to Rogue or their foals.

"Ah'm a reformed scoundrel, thank you..." He snorted softly as he returned the nuzzle. He hadn't done anything scoundrel-like since confessing everything to Rogue. "Y've changed me, Chere. Think it's for the better?"

"Ah've already taught two boys t'be proper wit' ladies. Y'gotta treat 'em right... Ah made sure they know that." He nodded slowly. He didn't want his sons to make the same mistakes that he had. He wanted them to do right by whatever mare they wound up with.
