I'm sure this has crossed all of our minds at some point or time.
Sadly, Trent is aging.
He doesn't look bad for forty-something.

But eventually, he will stop writing music.
D< SO I SUGGEST WE FIND AN ANTI-AGING FORMULA AND A FORMULA THAT WILL KEEP HIM ALIVE.
:[ Because I'd be more sad if he died than if my mother died.

It is a harsh reality in which we all realise he will die one day As sad as that may be, his music will always live on

Yeah... But I'm telling you, this is not the answer.
We could clone, or at least breed. I volunteer.

That fact sucks major a** for me. I have two disabilities, so unless my mom feels like letting me to a nin show there's know way in Hell I can go because she will never take me and I want to see him some time in my life before... Okay I don't really want to go there. I'll be 18 in 4 years, and I'm not saying that he's going to... I don't even want to say that word, when he's 46 but he may stop writing before I can have the glory of seeing him. Cloaning? Formulas? I'm on it! LOL! Sorry that was just my vent because I've been thinking about that a lot lately.

He has said many times it's his passion, it would be kinda weird if he would quit so early. Next to that, unless someone shoots him, he is in great shape, so I don't see how he would die anytime soon. Maybe when you're a little older than 14 your mum will let you go. I only got to go a week ago, and I am 17. Maybe when you're 16? You'll just have to wait and see.

haha, i think it's safe to say he'll be around for a good thirty more years, at the very least. he's really healthy and vibrant now that he's stopped hurting himself with drugs, and unless he comes under some type of undue stress in the near future, i think he's got a good solid future ahead of him. now don't get me wrong - i have a feeling that one day, forty years from now, i'm going to turn on CNN and i'm going to make some big scene over the headline - "and the top story from New Orleans - musical icon trent reznor has died at the age of eighty. he was found slumped over his beloved mixer two o'clock this morning, and -" "oh my god, whyyyyy!"
but you're right, i predict that he'll stop producing music in about ten-fifteen years. sometimes, you just have to move on. i doubt that'll be the last we hear from him, though. he reminds me of kurt vonnegut (RIP) in that he'll definitely carry his message through at least one more generation. he'll start writing or something.
