Janikiwiti was a mess.
It had been a few weeks since he and his family had woken up to find that Tain was missing. He hadn't been able to get a second of rest since then, worried sick about his son. The lion knew what had happened - that damn lioness had taken him. But why? And why didn't Tain try and fight back? Was he unhappy with his family? Where was he now? Was he even alive?
Letting out a strangled cry, the massive lion fell to the ground, resting his head on his paws. He felt as though he had failed as a father. Maybe if he had fought the lioness when the problem first started...
Damn it! Why did he have to be this way, unable to fight? His son was missing, for the gods' sakes, all because he couldn't lift a claw. He was weak and pathetic. Maybe the lioness had had a point...
Sighing, he closed his eyes, trying to block out the world around him.
