Shoulders stretched as a lazy yawn escaped her maw. Lilith was quite proud of this place, she'd built up her pack from nothing and it was looking fitting in her eyes. But, now the pack was growing. She and the others were busy recruiting all the time. Looking for fresh blood, and so far she hadn't turned anyone away. Afterall, even the weakest member could be used as a stepping stone for further betterment. But, she couldn't do it all alone. Sure, she had Edgar but the rat like wolf was a flat out idiot, he seldom anything right. Then there was Sandrina, but her place was only to bed. Tabansi was too old and Ziva too new upon these lands, not to mention the alpha didn't quite trust her general fully.
No, what she needed was someone to rule by her side. And Lilith knew that when one wanted something they need not sit idily by why nothing happens. They needed to take it. And today she was determined to find herself an alpha to rule by her side. She had a basic profile in her mind, she just hoped she wouldn't have to tone it down a few levels just to fit what was readibly available. All the same, she bid the others to watch over her lands and quickly begin to pad along the outskirts, looking for the one she might rightfully call King.

Karim groaned, pulling his big body closer to the pool beneath the waterfall. He wasn't your average wolf... voilet in color with strange white markings littering his back, face, legs and tail. His chest was bare, purple in color with no markings to disturb it. Leaning down, the big muscular male brought his maw to the water, lapping up some of the clear liquid before blinking and looking up at the sky. It was warm, well... beyond warm... but he wasn't one to complain. No, Karim took things as they were and decided they could always be worse. In his quiet life, things were close to perfect... not because he had an easy life, oh no... but because he believed things were good and nothing could bring him to think otherwise.
On this warm day, Karim wasn't doing anything in general... he'd fetched his breakfast, ate quietly and watched the world around him patiently. He'd spent most of his adult life alone, cast away from his pack when his father decided Karim was much bigger and stronger than he himself. Of course, alphas were always worried about threats... Karim had no reason to challenge his father. Instead, he left without a word, determined to do things on his own. Most called him too considerate, too caring and said he didn't worry enough, but those were just parts of him. Since his curious puppy childhood, to his now very serious but laid back adult days.. he'd never change.

It was the strange white markings littered across his body the caught Lilith's eyes. Curiously she edge forward, silent as the stillness of the air and she watched him. Her dull green eyes moved from the water to his maw then back to his features, namely the markings. Purple was an odd color in and of itself, but the white was the oddest about him. She moved closer, padding steathily as she was accustomed to do. There was a sense of peace about him, or at least she hadn't had a edge of caution that she usually had when facing another. He looked big too, twice her size and she knew she was already a large female to begin with. There was nothing like meeting someone bigger then you to make your breath hush.
Upon closer inspection she could see the muscles beneath the strange fur and Lilith decided right then and there she wanted to have him. For what purpose she could not say. That would be decided later. For now, introductions could be met however. She padded compltely forward, making her prescence known.
"Hello there," she called out, "Lovely day, isn't it?"

Eyes as blue as the water he'd been beside peered over at the dark wolf approaching. Her scent was indefinately female, which wasn't all that rare of a sight, lots of females seemed interested in him. Such matters didn't interest Karim, he'd rather continue doing his own thing than get tangled up in a web of love, or so they called it. Sure, such things sounded magical and quite pleasant but his life was pleasant enough already. Flickering two purple ears, littered with white stripes, Karim watched the femme, knowing she could have been a threat if she felt like it. Wolves rarely threatened Karim, whether it was due to his large size or perhaps his strange outlook on life, no one bothered him. The truth was, wolves actually felt comfortable around him, even wolves from faraway lands. He was just a welcoming wolf, not a judgemental bone in his body. Things like this made him easily liked and easy to get along with.
A big yawn escaped the large canine's mouth, causing his tongue to loll out of his mouth and his ears to flick forward, making a strange dog-like sound as his yawning ceased. The sun, heat and general weather was tuckering him out, well not really... but he was getting tired. Heat often brought sleepy thoughts and tired bodies, he'd realized that long ago. Karim noticed and realized quite a few things, he was a quite intelligent wolf, he knew things about the world and also the basics of living.
Finally the wolf had gotten closer. She was big for a female, he had to admit, but something told him she was delicate in her own way. He had to smile to himself, a crooked half smile that he often showed when feeling happy, she looked pretty relaxed. No, she didn't seem like a threat... at least not at that moment. Shaking his head as she spoke, he smiled once again, pulling his big body up off the ground before replying, "Yes, it is... nice an' warm... it's just wonderful."

She nodded, it certainly was 'nice an' warm' as he put it. And it was truly wonderful. The lands she held her pack in and much of the surrounding area could often be seen as an oasis. Plenty of game and the river and waterfall was such a good place for a weary soul. But reveleries aside she was here on business and didn't want to drag this thing out longer then need be.
"I should cut the formalities," she said quickly, now stepping up to where she was a foot or so away form his own form. "My name is Lilith, I am alpha of my pack," she explained, raising her head up slightly, and letting her tail sway in the wind to show that she was no dippy young fem. She was powerful in her own right even though she wasn't as big as him and probably wouldn't be seen as any real threat. "I am in search of..." she couldn't say another rank as she was because she did not see what he had to offer her, nor did she know if would be interested or not. It was best to play it easy.
"...a wolf of a high standard," she finished, quirking both brows. "You look strong, healthy, but what of your personality?"

He chuckled softly to himself, tail swishing behind him in a slow but steady beat, meanwhile his ears and eyes focused on the female. He'd been wrong, she was a threat in a way, alphas normally chased wolves off their land, not that he knew it was her land. The only thing was that she didn't seem to be worried about such things, instead she seemed focused on him and his... personality? How did a wolf explain his own personality...? It didn't make much sense to observe every move of your own, to watch your own tail swish angrily in a dissagreement. Well, he figured if a wolf looked between his own two legs when in an argument he might tople over and lose. The thought made him grin to himself, for he'd done awful things in the middle of arguments before.
Nodding at the femme's name, he decided he should tell her his as well, "Lovely name Ma'am," Karim smiled, looking into her deep blue eyes before he lowered his hind, settling it on the ground once again, "Name's Karim..." After he had to listen to her explain something about her search for a wolf of high standard. What the heck did she want with him though? He was no wolf of high standard. The personality thing irked him, how was he to explain his personality? Letting his ears flick backwards and his long, bushy, tail curl about his body, Karim blinked at the femme, trying to be polite.
"Yeah, I suppose I'm healthy, and strong enuf' as far as wolves go these days..." the next bit made him ponder what to say, instead of saying anything the big wolf lifted his shoulders, letting them fall soon afterwards, "Wouldn't know 'bout my personality... I dun take to observin' myself.. y'know.." he grinned at the big female wolf.

She let a soft smile slip to her maw as he spoke, his gentlemen nature did not go past her. But she could not tell if he was trying to be charming, as most males were, or if he was generally of a nice nature. Though, the more he talked and just by the way he carried himself it seemed to be the later. Her tail swished back and forth as all paws stayed firmly planted to the ground. He surely was a sweet talker, not that she was woed or anything, but it was nice.
"Yes, I see," she said with a nod. So far she was leaning towards this one, not that she had any other to compare, but at the moment she was sold on this creature standing before her. He seemed like the type that wouldn't try to rule over her, or comandeer what she wanted to accomplish. Yes, yes he was a fine specimen indeed. The only problem now was that she needed to even see if he was interested, and in that department his morals might step in the way of her own ideals. He seemed like the type that would have them, but then again who among the world wouldn't want to give into their wildest pleasures.
"Running a pack is quite tiresome," she said smoothly, padding up as close as she could get now without seeming too threatening or desperate. "I can't do it all by myself...." she added with great meaning behind her emeralds.

He never understood females. They were always a mystery, hiding their thoughts behind blank expressions and using charming words to get what they wanted. No, they were quite intimidating but it didn't much matter... he didn't mind letting others having their way as long as it wasn't going to hurt him or someone important to him in the process. This female was like any other, strange with confusing words and blank expressions. He had to admit though, he quite enjoyed the company. Loner life was very dull, he rarely ran into other wolves that wanted to be friendly and if they did, they had a limited amount of time to socialize. He didn't want to waste this female's time, especially when she seemed to have such a hard life but he wasn't sure where she wanted to go with this conversation.
When she began moving towards him, Karim stared, completely unphased by the big female coming at him. He noticed her eyes were twinkling with something, mischief perhaps? Maybe something else... it was another one of those mysteries. While she spoke, Karim went over their previous conversation in his head, trying to piece things together. It seemed to him like this wolf she was searching for... the one with high standard was to help her run this pack of hers. The fact that she was an alpha still bothered him... in his experience alphas were demanding, harsh and well... the complete opposite of what she was. He knew what this was turning into... it was another one of those female games! Raising a brow, Karim watched her curiously.
"Yes... I can see how that might be, especially if you're watching over a large pack, Ma'am," he nodded to himself more than her, "I suppose it brings a feeling of acomplishment as well, and I doubt you're ever alone..." he smiled.
The heat was starting to bother him again, it was about time he went for a swim or found some shade but he couldn't dissapoint the dear lady. He wanted to make sure she got whatever she needed from him before she went on her way. But, with that thought in mind... he was starting to wonder what it was the she wanted exactly...

She could tell by his wondering eyes that she was beginning to loose his interest, not the she blamed him. By the sounds he was giving off he was not one of high maintence, which was good, exactly what she wanted. But all the same she couldn't just drone off anymore and expect him to 'get it'. She didn't want to come right out and say it either. That would make her sound desperate and she really wasn't. She was picky all right, she just happened to have picked him.
"Do you like it here, in my lands," she suddenly inquired, moving her head to look at all the abundance around them. Her tone wasn't threatening in the least, but the question was to see, see if he really truly like the place he was basking in. "How would you like to rule it?"

Karim stared blankly at the femme, he half expected her to break out in laughter and laugh at him like he was a poor excuse for a wolf. Manly wolves liked to pull such tricks on him because well... it was hard to anger the big wolf. When he waited several minutes and realized the strange dark wolf wasn't joking and was actually being quite serious he tilted his head about to say why me. Of course, many wolves didn't like to be questioned and he was on her land... she could easily kick him off if he refused. Most of his days were lonely anyways, a bit of company and perhaps a job to keep him busy couldn't be all bad. It seemed like a good idea to him, how could he refuse?
The big wolf peered at the female with clear, honest, blue eyes. This was it, he was going to agree and she was going to cast him away. Aw well, at least he'd told her the truth, he grinned to himself. After much thought, Karim smiled, his adorable half crooked smile that said he was just happy, "Well... can' see ma'self doing anything better with ma' time..." Then he tilted his head, peering past Lilith to the strange land behind her, "I suppose... if you need someone to help rule... I... might be up for the job."

A sick twisted sort of smile crossed her darkened lips before it passed as quickly as it had come, being replaced by something else. Something more warm and light. This was good, exactly as she had planned upon seeing him. He was big and strong which meant she could use his strength for the ways or way, and teach others how to fight and hunt. But he always seemed to be easy going and caring, that was very good. It meant that he would be susceptible to doing whatever she had planned out, and it also meant that he would be considerate to the members of their pack.
And if need be she could also use him for other things. She could force him into wanton and sinful things. Afterall, her line had to continue somehow.
"Very well," she finally breathed out. "If you will follow me I will show you my...." she paused, looking over at him and smiling again, correcting herself, "our lands."

The big bad wolf was what she was. Sinister, evil and perhaps a bit demanding, Karim thought to himself as he shrugged. Well, he didn't mind... he was more of a follower than a leader but he couldn't refuse such an offer. He quite enjoyed these lands and having to leave them would leave him heart broken and confused. So follow the pretty lady was just what Karim did. Tilting his large body, the male lumbered towards her, showing his muscular and rather large body to a greater extent than before.
"Our lands... hm..." Karim said to himself as he thought about what that meant. Freedom to roam, boss others around and help when it was needed. Karim wasn't much of a bossy wolf but it didn't matter, he figured he could be if it was truly needed.

Lilith continued to pad along. Her head held high as she occassionally looked over and up at Karim, judging him further by the way he looked around at the place he called home.
"You've already seen the waterfall," she said with a nod, "Fish are in abundance there if you prefer the small light game. She nodded her heads upwards and continued, "The woods are thicker straight up there, deer are plentiful...." she looked back at Karim once more, before she kept on.
After several beats passed of her explaining the where and why of everything she soon came to a large den that was flanked by two wolves. She nodded those off and they left without a word.
"You will stay with me," she explained, "There's more then enough room for two. And speaking of bodies of two, if ever you feel you have to..." she paused searching for a name that would give the meaning as to what she was talking about, but would sound tactful all the same.
"....releaseyourself then the courtesans are always available to you. Otherwise, I'm sure some beta would suit your fancy.....however," she let another smile cross her maw, "I would hope that you would at least allow me to carry down the line of kings. After that you may do whomever you wish."

Karim wasn't sure what to expect with this female, she seemed very clever and... blunt. Yeah, that was definatly something Karim wasn't... he'd work his way around something until the wolf finally got it. He disliked right out saying things, it seemed awkward and well... often it caused problems. If anything, Karim avoided problems, he liked peaceful atmospheres and often disliked awkward situations. Following this femme was fine... he didn't have a problem with it until...
Karim stared blankly at Lilith. Yes, she was blunt alright... and the truth was she wasn't even being completely blunt. He blinked a few times, tilting his head before going back to staring. Something was off... was she toying with him? He didn't often feel the need to... er... release himself, he was known to get along just fine on his own. Settling his big rump on the ground, Karim stopped and questioned her, "Are ya' sure I herd ya' right, Ma'am?"

"One thing you must learn, Karrim," she said casually, taking a sitting position once he did out of good gesture, "Is that I choose my words very carefully and I never repeat myself. However, I will oblige you. If I'm wrong then I am gravely sorry, but most I know live off of the basic bloodlust, wanton desires of the body or stomach. I'm only saying that if that be your need well then..."
"Again that gentle yet powerful smile slipped to her maw. "We will accodomate you."
