 Nac was getting rather bored. His tail hung from the tree branch in which he laid on. Looking down at the river below he saw himself and that was it. No sisters to bother him, he wasn't sure where his mother was. He wasn't hungry either.... it'd been a day since he last ate... but for some reason he wasn't hungry.
The juvi leopon was thinner than he should've been for his build but he wasn't that bad off. He'd get his appiate back soon enough. His tail flickered softly, "Oh what to do..." He asked looking around before looking back down at his reflection. "Hey hansome what do you want to do today??" He didn't get an answer save for the soft rushing of the water.

 Three dark pink paws and one black thudded their way across the savannah; it felt so wonderful to be running again, away, away from all her problems and fears, away from the tense relationship of her parents, away from her terrifying, sadistic monster of an elder brother, just... away. It wasn't like Kibuhuti'kota to complain, she was far too much of a coward to actually voice how distressed she was, but she had strongly disliked so many things in her past. Her pup-hood had been a string of unfortunate incidents of her brother terrorizing her and her other sister, and having been born the runt, and almost dying at birth she had taken the teasing and fear as her right of passage, but it had not been enjoyable. Beluwa terrified the small Maned Wolf every time she saw him, she had only recently escaped his clutches once more, and she had no plans of returning home any time soon.
Presently she reached what looked to be a wall of trees, a familiar place, she had been to the jungles once before, and she damned her sense of direction once more. The family den was within the dark groves of trees, although, quite far from here, where the trees thinned out and met the plains.
Kibu resented the thought of being close to home, but was glad that she had an idea of where she was. I must not have been paying attention, maybe the river turned me around... she thought, a small frown of frustration creasing her brow. No matter. He can't find me here. Not unless he was following me. And I don't want that. No. No I don't.
The white, pink, and black female shuddered as she wandered farther into the dark trees, following the scent of water, she was thirsty after all that running in the hot grasslands. Finally she made it back to the river and lapped at the water as though she'd been dehydrated for months (although that certainly wasn't the case) and that she would never see water again.

The sudden apperance of this odd creature made nac puase and tense up. Although he wasn't scare he wasn't wondering what it was. Sniffing at the air he couldn't find any smell on it he knew.
Suddenly he jumped down from his perch and fluffed up a bit. "What are you?" He asked. Sure he had mannors but he didn't know this thing, he knew what leopards, leopons and lions looked like. It was pink, black, and white. Very interesting....

Golden eyes wide with fear the wolf stammered and stumbled back a few feet when the small feline jumped down from his perch, appearing almost out of nowhere. Heart racing in her chest Kibu pawed at the ground, breathing slowly to calm herself. She loathed the scent of fear on herself, it was almost as common as the scent of water and she couldn't bear it.
"I could ask you the same thing." She muttered, glancing down at the cat. He was smaller than her, which was strange, considering how small she was for one of her kind, she'd been looking up at others for so very long it confused her somewhat. "I am a maned wolf. Named Kibuhuti'kota by my mother, but what few friends I have call me Kibu. What are you? You look... similar to a leopard I met once, but you don't smell the same."

Nac blinked wondering what the wolf had to be scared of. His tail flickered as he looked at her.
"Aye you could." He chuckled watching her. "Well I've never met a maned wolf. Nice to met you Kibu, if I may call you that." His tail flickered as he thought for a moment. "I am welll a leopard lion." His tail flickered, "My name is Narcissus, my sisters and mother call me Nac."
"I suppose you don't know my mother, Hivu as she was called." His eyes narrowed at something moving in the stream, slashing at the water he tossed out a fish before waving his paw dry and sneering at the dampness. "I wouldn't suppose you'd be hungry would you." He said nodding towards the catch before sitting down.

"Of course you may. I wouldn't have introduced myself as such if I didn't want you to." She giggled a little, a smile crossing her muzzle. "No, I don't recall ever meeting her. I think if I had, I'd have recognized her scent on you. The only other I've met in the jungle was named Amri, and that was back when I was just a pup." She wagged her tri-coloured tail slightly, feeling a little less nervous now that the introductions were out of the way. It was dreadful not knowing who or what you were dealing with and what sneaky creatures might be lurking nearby. Not that she knew yet who or what could be nearby, but she didn't scent anything terribly dangerous, nothing at all truthfully.
"Hmmn. Your colouring 'minds me a bit of my elder sister." She murmured, thinking fondly of Potevu. Kibu wasn't entirely sure what had happened to her, but she had always seemed dangerously close to their brother, which probably meant nothing good at all.

"Oh, well I had to ask." He said with a nod. "Well that's ashame, I haven't seen her lately, nor my sisters.... I suppose I'm the only one left around here." He said with a soft pondering look.
He poked at the fish wondering if she was hungry because while he wasn't really he wanted to make sure his guest would've had food at the least. "Oh? I get my purple and green from my father. Whom also I have not seen recently. What about you're family?" He questioned his head tilted to the side as he licked at his almost dry paw to resort the hairs back into place.

Kibu shook her head and snorted slightly, more of a disgruntled huff than anything. "I'm... avoiding them I suppose. My brother is... frightening. He scares me so badly. So I'm staying away." Her ears had flattened against her skull during her short speech and she frowned, shaking her head once more, her large black ears perking back up and facing forward. She hated looking scared all the time, but she found that she just couldn't help herself. It would take a lot of time for her to be normal again, she hadn't been purely happy for so long.
Smiling she declined the fish politely. "I never did care for fish, thanks. All those little bones make it so hard to eat."

"Oh..." Said nac tilting his head he chuckled, "If it makes you feel any better I'm the only male in my family. We could be odd balls together." When she mentioned frightening he didn't turn a word nor make any sort of notice towards her scare behavior. He was vain, he wasn't stuipd.
"Ah ohwell... I'll suppose I'll eat the little bugger later..." He said when his tummy started to protest. Staring down at it for a moment he shook his head, stuipd thing didn't know what it wanted. "If you'd like you can stay around here. I don't know of many others around this area, my uncle tego every now, maybe the rest of my family as they please and then and a lion or two but other wise it's just me."
He stopped for a moment before looking at the water. "To be honest it's sorta lonely around here with just myself to talk to. No matter how hansome I am, one just never gets a good reply from theirself."

Kibu couldn't help but grin at the feline's words, she didnt' find him particularly handsome, but perhaps that was because he was just so different from her kind. It didn't matter overall she supposed.
"I guess I could stay for a while..." she said slowly, turning the prospect around in her mind. It might not be such a terrible thing, but she didn't know if she wanted to stay in the jungle for long. The tri-coloured young adult didn't want anything to do with her brother, and if she stayed in one place for too long he was sure to find her. If he was even looking for her. There was a good chance he wasn't, but there was always the chance that he would hunt down the object of his torment no matter what, and she didn't want to give him the opportunity to find her that easily.
Licking Nac's muzzle she smiled. "You may think you're not hungry young one, but if your stomach is telling you otherwise it's time to swallow your pride and force yourself to eat a bit. You wouldn't want to get sick, young as you are it wouldn't take too long to get well, but it would still be a shame."

He looked at her as she seemed to think over staying. "If you're brother comes I'll give him what for." He said in a joking tone. Tail flickering as he nodded all serious like. "I might be small but I can bite!"
When he was licked he blinked for a second. "Ehh I suppose... I haven't really wanted to eat much since my family went off on they're own ways." He pawed at the fish playing with it until he'd managed to tear off some of the flesh and scarfed it down.
"Bah sick, I suppose it wouldn't be a plesant thing specially when no one is around to take care of you...." He hadn't looked at it like that but maybe he should've been. He couldn't let himself get sick... how else would he keep his coat shiney and fine.

"I don't know that you could, but thank you for the thought." She smiled, wagging her tail a little. Nac was sweet, seeming to know the right thing to say at the right time, and she did feel a little less nervous, even though she still jumped slightly at every shadow. Old habits die hard, and she didn't expect that one to just roll over and call it a day, probably not ever.
"Where did your family go?" She asked, very curious. It didn't seem right that any young ones family would just up and leave. The thought was very confusing for her, since even though her family life had not been ideal, she'd still relied on her parents love to help her grow. If this young feline were all alone, there was not a chance she would just leave him. She didn't like the thought of anyone growing up alone.

"Well to be honest my mother shouldn't be too far from the jungle, though I'm not sure." He ponder for a second, "I think my sister Limbua ran off to see the world so to speak... atleast from what I sa.... know.... and Kumbuko I believe is out looking for her."
He rolled his shuolders in a shurg. "The only one I'm no were near knowing where he is, would be my father... being a godd he's likely all over the place, doens't seem the family type while he's still loving and what not." His tail flickered before his eyes grew wide.
"Oh lord and uncle tego.... you have to watch out for him, I love him and I 'look up to him so to speak' but he's a meany butt. His being nice is about as freindly as a pin cushion." He laughed at the thought. "I landed on him one and he threatened to eat me." Tail flickered again as he took another smackeral of fleash from the fish and downed it.
"You're the first one I've seen, to talk to, in a while."

Listening to his story the tri-coloured wolf nodded sympathetically. Though one part struck her particularly. "A God?" Kibu wondered aloud. "I'd thought they were only stories..." It was a strange thought, and she wasn't even sure if she wanted to believe him. After all, he was little more than a cub, and cubs were prone to telling stories, maybe he thought it would make her like him more or something. Who could know?
Unless, of course, she asked him if he was telling the truth. It didn't feel like a lie, and she didn't smell any untruth to it all, it was just all a little confusing. Snorting a few times and shaking her head she lay down, tail curling around to her side and flicking happily every so often. "Well, the best way to avoid someone or something is to know their smell. If you know what they smell like, it's easy to stay away from them."

He nodded tail flickering. "How else would grapes grow from a lion's tail?? There'd have to be a logical explation, and and he has huge feather wings. All purple with rainbow colored wings it reminds me of spring time."
"Ahh I'm sure there's a sweet side to uncle tego. You just have to dig down deep." He nodded again eating some more "I dunno... maybe it's just an odd thing?"
His tail flickered and as an afterthough he asked, "So if you were to go off somewhere, anywhere.... where would you want to go?"
