Large paws hit the ground in a pacing type fashion as a growing godling spun around, his feline eyebrows knit in thoughtful fashion as he turned his whole body around, the sound different than most animals on the African soils, for his body carried a heavy burden.

..

Well okay, they were actually pretty light and helped him get around much easier; speed was never an issue with him when it came to travelling.. but being so easily noticed by his wings sometimes bothered him! Especially when he was just needing to get around. Oh a godling, look a cute and fluffy he is~ I wonder if he will lend me an ear. OR that was what he figured they always said when he was seen. But of course he would stop for them; it was written into his very soul to be all things wonderful, chivelrous, kind, someone to n** about.

Another spin. But he didn't just want to hide away forever.. he figured. This would probably be easier with some mediation.

The cheetah hummed a merry little tune to herself as she strolled along, her golden-tipped tail flicking from side to side, mimicking a sort of angry fashion, though she herself was in no such state of mind. This was obvious due to the 'Singing in the rain' tune that seemed to mob in the air around her.

However, the reason she was humming it was far from the actual meaning of the song (falling in love), but rather in the point in fact that she had happily found that there were many of the feline sort for her to flirt her heart's content to and -not- have to dread them wanting commitment or children.

The thought of having a kid seemed to put 5 pounds of 'babyfat' on her posture as she shuddered, pausing in her stride, before resuming the cheertful little prance she'd adopted so happily.

Freya soon stopped, though, seeming a figure, dark in the grass, pacing back and forth, almost in a sort of impatient manner. She'd investigate this.. eeehhh.. in the 3 minutes it would take her to casually saunter over to see who it was.

Which is exactly what she did. Freya didn't move in a rush of any sort, just at her own pace, a sort of grin on her face, even when she was able to see the wings on the child. She'd never really seen a god before, so she wasn't even sure that's what the little one was.

So Freya sat in the grass, her golden eyes looking back and forth to watch the motions of the tattooed child.

"My my, you're going to make quite a trench doing that." she mused aloud.

He had, infact, been completely oblivious of the cheetah as she pranced around the area in which he had taken to pacing for awhile now. The humming and hawing that was in his head was loud and at sometimes, slightly obscene, but upon which she had taken her merry perch just close to him, and piped up that one muse.. oh he knew she was there.

And it had scared him silly. Freezing where he had been at that moment, his fur was slightly fluffed out and his wings somewhat extended over him in a fight or flight type fashion as he turned to see who had snuck there way next to the juvenile - and then he saw her. Whatever she was. But he could not deny that she was pretty, and definitally one who could.. possibly hear him out, so giving a very well needed sigh of relief, he turned his body to her.

"F-Forgive me! I suppose I was going to. You lose track of what you're doing when you're thinking." he started, giving a soft grin showing her that he was atleast friendly. "You are one of those.. speedy lithe felines, aren't you?" he asked, then boldly, almost biting his tongue. He had only seen them a few times here and there, and becoming face to face.. sort of, was almost a intellectual godsent.

While being of the type that was a 'hopeless flirt', Freya did have enough restrain to keep from doing so in this case, mostly because he was such a little one, and it would've been wrong on several levels. However, he'll grow up eventually.. fufufu... She was already plotting against him. Oh dear.

She straightened up her posture greatly, doing her best to make herself seem like a presentable and ... not-super-flirtatious young lady. Dear lord it made her snicker internally to think of herself as a 'young lady'. She didn't -feel- that old. Then again, she really wasn't. ENOUGH OF WANDERING THOUGHTS!

"Speedy felines? Why yes. I am." she confirmed, smiling just enough to show off some of her pretty front teeth. "We're called cheetahs." she added, wondering internally if the poor fellow hadn't been told such, or had forgotten. It was like herself and being mostly unsure of what the 'leopard' kind were.

The tip of her tail, wrapped ever so cleverly around her legs, thumped against the ground a bit as she spoke, almost in a distracted sort of way, and partially out of habit.

"And you are....?" she inquired, eyebrows lifting -just- a bit. It was amazing how much a slight eyebrow movement could convey if one was trained just right in expressions.

If there were awards to be won in the desert, this lass would get first place for presentation. Raising both his eyebrows from their previous knit condition, his tail starting to sway every so lazily from it's previous dormant state. Were all Cheetahs this.. flourish? Shaking his head, he fully turned himself around and sat down in the point where he had somehow worn away the ground ever slightly, a pair of mismatched eyes watched as the other feline took her perch near him.

"A cheetah, then. Wonderful name for a race, I will have to keep that in mind if I am to meet another in the future." Which, odds were for him, since there had been tons in the wilderness aroudn them. "But I am a lion.. by name and appearance, but birth.. or rather, but creation I am a god of the Savannah - the god of Virtues, at your service.." a low, curt bow - habit and blood to him. "Although, at this time, the title brings me far too much aggitation than normal.."
PostPosted: Wed Feb 28, 2007 7:45 pm

A sort of 'Ooooooh' gear turned in her hear, and her expression mirrored this, both eyebrows lifting, eyes closing, and a sort of nod coming to her head. "Ahh. I knew of the lion sort.. it was the.." she lifted her golden-marked paw and waved it at the wings that adorned the male's back in a sort of casual manner, before replacing it back behind her tail.

"I've not seen or heard of your kind before to say." Freya admitted, the little devil in the back of her mind being smacked by the little 'angel' (if there still was one around here.. ) to 'play nice' and not stab away at her restraint until it broke free and her idiocy was released for what it was.

That would've been a nightmare.

"Why would being one of virtue be bringing you a source of agitation, dearie?" she asked, adopting a mothering tone, hoping it would bring her a certain degree of credibility in being of some help. Because, flirt or not, she couldn't help but sympathize for the poor kid's plight, no matter what it may have been.

Afterall, it couldn't have been -that- bad, right? He -did- say the 'God of Virtue'. Then again....

Looking in the direction that the golden paw had loosely pointed to, only to come face to.. feather with one of his wings, in which almost mindlessly bounced in position, almost as if taunting the god. "Ah yes. Wings. That would be what they are. Normally on the backs of birds - it appears that upon being created, I was .. eir.." Momentary pause for a good word ".. blessed with a pair." He started, before turning back towards to the bedazzling cheetah, a face that showed both great thankfulness and yet, a small tinge of annoyance with them at times. Flickering his bejeweled ear, he gave a shrug, the weight of the wings bobbing over his shoulder once.

"Although they aid me both in showing my rank in existance, and keeping me at a wonderful speed in travelling, I can't help but be slightly aggrivated when I'm suddenly taken aside by a new mortal, because of how unique I am. I suppose I am just too humble and meek." he stated, giving a chuckle at the amusement of the fact that the feelings that created him, also detriment him in his.. elegence.

Freya considered the juvenile's position, her expression reflecting this thought well as she did. Well, he could just hide them, but perhaps there was a problem with that as well, perhaps he was unable to? Well, it wouldn't have been unreasonable for her to think so, she guessed.

For now, she'd just not think anything of that notion, and allow him to explain.

"I can barely imagine how you feel with the attention you receive.." she seemed to look to admire her own coat with a tinge of pride, though simply enough to hint that she was content with herself, before looking back to him. "though I myself receive many suitors after my own beauty.." Hoping I'll make their children beautiful too. Guck..

It was a decent thing that he couldn't read minds, she decided.

"But I would say.... why don't you just hide them?" she inquired, eyebrows again lifting a bit. Normally, she would have figured out something herself by then, but she was in no mood to be 'intelligent' at that point in time, only wishing to let the little one express the problem as it was in his mind.

"Overwhelming, to say the least." He answered, ears raised high in interest - it was nice to finally have someone he could ping off his personal issues with at the time - and she didn't seem to mind so very much (infact, she was rather good at this, and had some wonderful ideas for him to mull over with his internal battles.) Thumping his tail on the ground a few times, he nodded with what had been running through his mind at the time, having heard what she had on hers all the while.

"I'm sure that you inspire many another kin with your beauty, dear one - I can attest you're a very unique individual" he offered, with honesty in his voice, amd a grin on his maw. "I'm sure you'll find exactly what you've been looking for, in the end." was all he would offer up in the end for that part of the conversation before the final sentance reached him, which only made him think more.

"I too.. thought about that at first, but I feel it's rather deceiteful to hide behind another's fur? I know that I've the ability to make.. a dopplegaengar of a sort with my looks.. to hide. But I don't know.." he stated, thoughtfully. "But I guess whatever helps in the end, is what is more important?"

Oh, well..

How well he'd thought the situation through was surprising, and the cheetah attempted to sort out a good way to solve this problem for him while still remaining within reason of what he was at a fundamental base.

In fact, she was completely stumped as to a suitable solution to this problem.

"You do make a good point, but is it truly deceitful to simply hide them under your OWN fur?" Freya inquired. "Because you wouldn't be hiding behind anything except what you really are. It is cruel of people to expect more of you simply due to your birthright and status, I think."

The girl was definitely opinionated on many levels, to her own surprise, but then again, she was rather sure her opinion wouldn't exactly work the way she was thinking it to.

She decided then she never wanted to have the title of a 'virtue' in any way. Freya would never be able to live up to it, and this little boy was trying to live up to all of them!

He never truely thought about that, and tilting his head, he looked to her with a very youthful, and childish face, one that showed both curiousity and awe at the intellect that this adult had in comparison to him. He definitally had a lot of growing up to do, the more he thought about it.

Looking behind him, he ruffled his wings a bit, pressing them on his back a few times before making a new face, one of slight aggrivation, but broke it before he looked to her again. "That would possibly be a sound decision, hiding them away.." he started before the last statement hit him, his duelshaded eyes widening in thought.

"But.. if they're expecting me of my birthright, would it not be considered Meekness to just.. demote my look to that of a lion, so pride does not beget me?" he asked, a cublike smile creeping on his face. "I guess that would go around my duty to an extent..

..right?"
PostPosted: Thu Mar 01, 2007 5:40 pm

Ah ha! Now they had a peg of thought in common! Freya had to take a moment to translate what he was saying, before nodding a bit, wondering internally if that would be the best way to express that whatever he was saying sounded like what she'd been going for.

Freya was pretty, not a genius in all aspects of everything, so even she could be fooled by the right weave of words.

"Exactly. If you are humbling yourself, then you are preventing yourself from being set up with praise which can lead to pride, which, in my knowledge, is something that hasn't exactly been the best influence on many lions. I'm sure you are of those who are better able to humble themselves, but it would be bad to set up others to expect things of you, see?"

Internally, the cheetah was wondering if, at all, everything she'd said had made even the tiniest bit of sense in the name of.. well...

not looking like a babbling fool, perhaps.

"Pride begets anyone, it doesn't matter the fur they wear or the name they bear, it can always turn on it's owner. And besides, that would be my twin's range of speciality." He stated nonchalauntly, waving a paw in a circular pattern in the air before putting it back down, showing that he was over that little speel. He knew though, deep inside that he would too be graced with those that his sister cherishes greatly, but he tried not to mingle in sins.. "She shows it well, so I guess I should leave her to doing that."

And so they were both on the same idea, which made him proud that he finally got to untangle the wicked webs that he himself had woven - if he had a reward, he would give her it twice, he was so content. But a new problem presented itself, and it played on his face when he finally hit it. "But, I've never actually hidden away under a different look. I know we can.. perform said task.. but I've never done such.

.. What would one look best in, anyways?"
PostPosted: Fri Mar 02, 2007 4:43 pm

Well when he puts it that way...

Freya smiled innocently, ears drooping a bit as she simply nodded at what he said. She'd at least pretend she knew who it was he was talking about, which, in her case, she definately didn't. She wouldn't boast herself to be the smartest in all the land and know everybody. Besides, he didn't know what to expect of the 'twin' of Virtue aside from someone she'd probably be a little more akin to...

Kind of a creepy thought there.

".. Look best i-.. OH!" Freya's brain seemed to compute what it was exactly the male was asking before she rose up to her paws, taking a moment to circle around the juvenile to consider a good 'appearance' for him, before she sat down, nodding.

"I think you'd look good white." she decided, nodding firmly.

He -totally- would have done it justice, and the added irony that white was considered the 'pure' color would go unmentioned on that note as well.

Watching the thinner feline circle around him once or twice, eyeing him over with her golden eyes almost boring into the poor godling - which only made the back of his neck and his wings fluff up just a little - he wasn't used to being looked at so hard. When the dark shaded cheetah had taken her royal seat once more, his mismatched eyes caught her once more as she gave him her answer.

White, hum? he thought to himself as he looked himself over before nodding softly, looking to her.

"I see, I can understand where you're coming from, I guess. So, White it is. I hope I can do this right, atleast." he piped up, before he closed his eyes. Deep soul searching was key here (or so he figured, it was just throwing whatever he thought out first.) but in the end, he found it, that odd feeling, and although it had been his first time, he figured he had done it right.

The weight of his wings were still there, to him and only him. But unannounced to the cub.. he .. missed a hue or two, and had become a cheap valentine's day card pink. Opening azure shaded eyes (Which were what he was trying for! Mirroring his blue eye was his ideal), he looked to his companion, tilting his head.

"Well?"
