it's my favorite manga/anime. but the second movie was kind of dissapointing. the voices were very different, and the personalities were very different. but other then that it was very good. who else agrees.
but this isn't just about the second movie. heres another question: who's your fav character? mines tomoyo a.k.a. madision (american name)

Cardcaptor fan intersting! Anything by CLAMP is good. I really like Chobits though sorry. O. My favorite charater from the series is Sakura. I just like the fact she the master of the colw.(Dmn) Now I have theme song stuck in my head. O I hate this. Sobnesss..... crying

I like Sakura too but Kero-chan is probably my favorite next to her. He's so kawaii! I've always wanted a plushie of him. ^_~
It sucks though that I haven't actually got to see much of the series. By the time I got into it they were taking it off the air. >_>

Mirialiah I like Sakura too but Kero-chan is probably my favorite next to her. He's so kawaii! I've always wanted a plushie of him. ^_~
It sucks though that I haven't actually got to see much of the series. By the time I got into it they were taking it off the air. >_>

I used to be able to stand Cardcaptors.
(I'm an avid fan of the manga.)
I downloaded a couple episodes of Cardcaptor Sakura one night and everything changed. The dubbed version - I don't think it can even be called that.. it's a completely different show altogether - is absolutely awful! Aside from the artwork which is gorgeous as ever. I could still stand to watch it on mute.
Seriously guys, they ripped up that show so much. A friend sent me an article cut from the paper about how when they were dubbing the series, they were honestly considering changing Sakura's name to Nikki. Praise the anime fans who stopped them!
They killed half of the story by taking out the Yukito/Toya bit. Not to mention every other relationship. Sakura turned into a brat. Tomoyo turned into a valley girl. With the exception of Fujitaka's and maaaybe Li's, none of the American voice actors can act. An average of three minutes was cut from each episode. Of about seventy episodes (if they'd finished dubbing it all) that would cut almost ten percent of video for you.
What does this turn CCS into? A lot of things. "Cardcaptors" is actually a very fitting title. Rather than the characters, the series revolves around catching the cards. And that's it. :\. If you're happy about that, as I was at one seriously naive point, check out the original series.
Go to http://sundevildvd.com and buy the HK imports for cheap.
It's worth it. VERY worth it.
Don't give in to paying forty bucks a disc for three episodes of horror.

I liked CC but they just had to take it off the air...I wanted to play the video game, i always thought that if they made one up to date it would be awesome.

I bought the video game on ebay. But sadly it was a cheap copy and did notn work. good thing i only paid $15! If you buy the real game it's about $50!!! And i think soap is right, but since i started watching the anime before the i read the manga (same with sailor moon, and tenchi and a couple others....) i almost thought the manga was weird...o.0 Well here's my advice: If the dubbed version isn't that great, think of it as a brand new anime, or a different version of the manga! Almost as if it's a new adventure! (I had to do this when i watched Mew Mew Power, a.k.a Tokyo Mew Mew.)
I was thinking about buying the japanese version, but my dad say's that movies with subtitiles suck. I asked my aunt (She lives in China, so I thought she might know something about movies with subtitles.) She said that they're great! But, I rather stick to the american version (no matter how butchered it is.)

it was one of my first anime shows I watched too and i was so mad when they took it off the air....now I have the books and I read like everything by CLAMP the're great!! heart

Ish good but I think the series is too short, ne...I like Yukito or Yue...Yue's better because he has wings!!!...is Yue's voice also Megumi Ogata's?...
