Once again, Nani is very happy with her baby and is unsure if she'll ever return to Gaia again, besides the occasional visit.
I've read somewhere that one type of people who are more likely to get UTI (Urinary Tract Infections) are pregnant women. Can the symptom frequent urination happen as early as three weeks into a pregnancy, and if so, will a UTI affect the pregnancy at this point?
(Friend is unsure at the moment if what she has is UTI, she says when she urinates she always feels that she has to pee more, but nothing comes out. She also says that sometimes she feels she needs to pee really bad, but only a little comes out.)
"Friend" has even told me about when she wipes her "down there," sometimes she see's a "sperm-shaped thing" (Yes, we all know it's NOT a sperm), about a centimeter or two in length, and red. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, God Bless & Take care.

That doesn't really sound like a UTI to me. But having a UTI while you're pregnant is not a good thing, no matter when you have it, and should be taken care of immediately. She should see a doctor right away

When in doubt go to the doctor. Really hard to really gauge by the vagueness of the descriptions. Quote: Infections in Pregnancy Pregnant women seem no more prone to UTIs than other women. However, when a UTI does occur, it is more likely to travel to the kidneys. According to some reports, about 2 to 4 percent of pregnant women develop a urinary infection. Scientists think that hormonal changes and shifts in the position of the urinary tract during pregnancy make it easier for bacteria to travel up the ureters to the kidneys. For this reason, many doctors recommend periodic testing of urine. source:http://www.idph.state.il.us/about/womenshealth/factsheets/uti.htm

It's probably not a UTI. When you have a UTI you feel like you always have to pee, and then once you do, it burns VERY badly! Trust me, I've had a few...
But, if it is or isn't, your friend should go to the doctor (especially if she's pregnant) to find out what's wrong, or get antibiotics if it's a UTI. Why suffer when you could take a pill and feel better in an hour? Plus if it is a UTI and goes untreated it can damage your kidneys or bladder. Better to play it safe and see what's wrong instead of guessing.

Well, obviously she needs to see her doctor, but I wanted to throw this out as well.
I've had UTIs in the past, but now I have cystitus. It's a lot like a UTI, but no burning, except after intercourse. My bladder essentially has cysts on the inside, reducing the flexibility. What that means is I pee ALL the time, but it's never a full bladder because it can't stretch to get full. Also, it can't contract all the way to completely empty itself either, so not only do I pee all the time without a lot coming out, but I always feel like I need to pee too.
When your friend goes to her doctor, have her ask about cystitus as well as a UTI.
