Possible elements: Elemental properties and domains
Fire: Control and abilities of fire. Also have some abilities with shadow as well.
Earth: Rocks, stones, plants and animals. Can heal, but not as well as water can.
Air: Lightning, wind, rain, weather. Invisibility and flight also fall under this elemental abilities.
Water: Ice, water, healing. Mental abilities fall under this area of the elements, including mind reading and telekinetics.

Crests:
These are the items that grant people that are attuned to the elements to be able to use them. There are many minor crests of each element, though there are actually a master crest for each one as well. Before you ask, no you can not just have a master crest of an element. These are the items that the rulers of each nation has.
If a spell caster ever looses their crest, they loose their abilities to cast any spells. People that can use the power of the crest (not everyone in this world can, it is up to you if you can or can't) can sense crests of the same element around them, making it easier to find a replacement.
Crests can come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Most are only in the shape of a pendent, but some can be in the shape of (usable) weapons. Weapons that are made from crest material can not be broken with any ease. It can still break, but it is as strong as steel.

Mage Vs. Knight If a character can use magic well, then they can not use physical abilities to any degree of success. I am not saying you can't even pick up a sword or use any melee attacks, but you will not be proficient with them. Either you are a mage, or you are a physical fighter. You can have abilities of each, but you will be master of none.

(*NO PICTURE.* I can't draw, and hate browsing anime (and am not a big anime fan in general). So sue me.) Username: Megamickel Character name: Cerenthius Appearance: Cerenthius stands about 6'2". He wears a copper chest plate over a suit of chainmail, all over his padded shirt. Of course, no sleeves are to be found, as he needs his arms to be as nimble as possible to fully control his large sword. His arms bulge with muscle, which makes him intimidating to most people. He has fierce blue eyes and light brown hair, pulled back into a ponytail. Personality: Cerenthius is very drawing towards others, but the one thing he cannot stand is his own failure, having almost been driven to suicide when he failed to defeat Lord Jalka. He fights hard to defend his honor, but even harder to defend those he cares about. The only thing that he ever feared was losing his nation, which he did. Now he fears not even death. History: Cerenthius is the brother of Megamickel, one of the last druids surviving in his homeland of Gralia. However, when the druids were forced to flee the village, Cerenthius left, too, searching for fame and glory as a fighter. Though he never acheived his goal of being rich from his career, he was noticed by the King and joined the Royal Guard. After some time, he was placed in command of the entire army of Gralia, noted for his tactical prowess and remarkable fighting ability. Though the army of Gralia was destroyed by Lord Jalka, the leader of Sahel, he escaped death and continues to hunt Jalka's head. Lord Jalka, now controller of the entire Gralian continent, fears Cerenthius, hoping that he does not ever meet him in battle. However, before he could defete Lord Jalka, one of his wizards opened up a wormhole, sending Cerenthius far away from his homeland of Gralia. As he explored this strange land, he realized that something huge was happening... something that may give him the opportunity to return home. Realizing this, he inserted himself into the army, rising quickly through the lower ranks, untill he was named captain and had a small battalion placed under his command. Powers: Cerenthius is superbly skilled in swordsmanship, among other styles of combat, and his strength dwarfs that of most men, though he has little experience in other areas, and lacks the ability for magic. He is intelligent enough, though he is no genius, and has a brilliant mind for military tactics. Nation: Not of this place, though he fights for Kendor. Rank: Captain Crest: Cerenthius carries no crest, nor could he make use of one, save it held the form of a weapon.

Username:MasterMerlyn1 Character name:Merlyn Appearance:5'10",148lbs., Red eys that flicker with shadows look out from from a handsome face, surrounded by Green hair, his complexion is pale and clear and he is well muscled, having trained with a Spatha, (Military Cavalry Sword), for years. Personality:Mysterious and dark, but charming, honorable and honest but prtective of his secrets. History:Born centuries ago, he was a member of the Alcamearan Army and became a cavalry general very quickly, he hails from some small region of Alcamear to the west, long ago consumed by the taint. Powers:He can cast himself in shadows and hide from all but the most magically aware his exposure to Taint has given him abilities akin to evil, he can walk in light when he wears his crest, and is able to prey on his opponent's deepest fears. Nation: Alcameare Rank:Army Cavalry Commander Crest:He bears a crest of fire which allows him to walk in the light, since light is created by fire. His Crest is his sword, the hilt has a blood red jewel, which glows with his anger and lust, his sword is long and light-weight. And he is a master with it.

Username: earth2dragon Character name: Lord Strider Appearance: In his grasp he holds the magic staff FirePheonix (also his crest). A dark purple cape hangs from his neck and enhances his proud amethest eyes. Slim, neatly trimmed, and thought as handsome to most, he draws many eyes toward his charming and magical self. Many find his appearance to be unsettling, perhaps because of his knowing eyes and powerful presence. Personality: Interested in finding out more about the shadow arts and is constantly dabbing in dark magic. However, his loyalty to Alcameare cannot be doubted by anyone. History: Lord Stider is know for his arrogance and his extraordinary magic abilities. The earliest known history regarding him was when he was 12 (21 currently). At a late age, a magical current sprang forth throughout him, happily surprising his mother and father, who believed he wouldn't become anything. Young Strider quickly rose through the ranks of mages and settled at his current rank, Master of Fire (rumor hold it, he claims the title of Shadow Master...) Powers: Outstanding ability to summon creatures (grade A) and also is remarkable at withstanding the pressure of casting a difficult spell. It is thought that his amethest eyes can see into a persons soul and find out their dark secrets. Of course, thats just a rumor... Nation: Alcameare Rank: Master of Fire Crest: His staff personally named FirePheonix. Stores great quantaties of magic and enhances the damage done with spells.

Name: Flip (My parents had a sense of humour; may they rest in peace) Age:17 Race: Half Kendoran (Mother) Half Sentusiean (Father) Flips father fell in love with her mother on a shipping venture and well although he still had large ties with the sentusie mainly his career; which kept him away for years at a time. Class: Mage Elemental Affinity: Water; specifically in control of water, though she has some healing abilities it is no more than the ability to heal minor wounds such as scratches and bruises. Height: 153 cm (roughly 5 feet tall in the standard system) Weight: 47 Kg (roughly 103 lbs) Eyes: Blue Hair: Dyed a light blue (in honor of her family's long standing wave master tradition) worn long and free most days but is braided back if she wishes to impress a "certain someone". Personality: She is curious about anything and everything, and though she is young she is not naive in the ways of the world. A flirt who sometimes regrets her "actions" with the men she becomes involved with. Quite outspoken in any situation, she is a force to be reckoned with when angry. She has been hiding the secret of her parents death within her and can sometimes be found crying for no reason. History: Raised in a small fishing village in the outskirts of Kendor. Her father was a well known wave master for the sentusie (he kept ships from sinking by calming the turbulent seas near the boat). Though sadly on the eve of her seventeenth birthday she heard news that her father had died at sea. The captain of the ship brought home the rune he cherished so dearly. Her mother was distraught and by that evening she had decided to take her own life; jumping from one of the cliffs in the village. Waking to find that both her parents were dead, she took the low level rune her father used when he was alive and left for Kendor in search of a place where the constant reminder of her father's death and her mother's suicide couldn't touch her; and maybe some adventure. Rank: The equivalent of an apprentice mage! (She learned some tricks from her father who would have started training her as a wave master on the anniversary of her18th year) Crests: She has a total 2 crests one that was her father's, it is in the shape of an ornate bracelet that actually slightly resembles a gauntlet it is made out of a mother of pearl stone and is decorated by the occasional aquamarine; and the small pendant that was placed within her forehead at birth (a tradition within the family of sentusian wave masters) it is in the color of a clear lagoon (very light blue) and it was told to her that the stone would grow darker as her magical affinity increased. Though it still seems to be closer to a diamond than a sapphire.

+ Personality: He’s mostly indifferent to everyone and everything. Tiemon does what he’s told by his superiors, if they are his superior. Tiemon works more like machine than anything, not showing any sort of emotion whatsoever unless need-be basis. Tiemon may be Damear, but he does believe in the truth of what Kendor does say – most of the time. Tiemon will act as if he unaffiliated with Damear or Kendor if asked. He wishes to remain inconspicuous in his assassin life.
+ History: Tiemon grew up in as an orphan in a temple of Kendor although being of Damear origin. (He can speak Damear fluently and knows their cultural habits) At the age of 12, Tiemon murdered 3 traitors. He was sentenced to the military as people were needed, plus they saw the need in Tiemon’s skills as a fighter. He climbed the ranks to Major and through special interest, Tiemon became an assassin for Kendor. He dresses as he is from Damear and assassinates those from said country and corrupt persons from Kendor as well.
+ Powers: Tiemon specializes in affiliating himself with the shadows and uses an advanced form of martial arts. If “magic” best describe/adds what Tiemon does, it would be fire. Tiemon’s a fiery person, but shadows are what he’s attracted to.

You would most likely be using a fire crest for your powers.
Also, elves are long lived, and mature at around the age of one hundred. 94 would about equal 14 years of are for an elf.
Alcaerens are even longer lived, and take even longer to learn and grow than elves do. They mature at around 150 years of age, but live for a few thousand years. They are almost immortal it seems.

Under the cloak he wears a black cloth shirt, and black leather pants, and brown boots. He wears belt on his pants with a pouch for lock picking, and two scabbards on his belt for his two daggers. he wears brown leather gloves that expose the fingers but cover the palm. Personality: Zane is calm, doesn’t respect authority and status, little bit arrogant he has some morals though, he can be persuaded to do a job at the right price. History: Zane grew up in the lower class in Kendor, he lived in poverty for most of his early life, all he could do was train with his daggers, and learn how to steal for his food. He now steals from nobles and other rich citizens, weather money or objects. He will either pawn the item or ransoms it for money. He does have limits though, like anything royal or killing, though he will fight back in self-defense. Powers: Proficient in thievery and stealth. He has great skill with his two daggers. He has no magic power. Nation: Kendor Rank: none Crest: none

 Obsessiforge: Sandarc "Sand" Sohail: See image: a dark haired and skinned youth, he wears a cloak over part of his body, and a bandanna.: Overall funloving, but not afraid of the elements, able to fend for himself in the wilderness, or the dunes of the dessert: Long ago his parents gave their newborn son to the Elves of Damear, who raised him as a community;Early on, he knew he was different, with his tanned skin and unnaturaly round ears. but when the Elves started blaming the Kendorians for their misforturne, he was banished from the tribe. He learned to live off of the desert, using the knife he was given as a parting gift as his crest, as well as his most treasured possesion. : He is an Earth elementalist, but he can mostly manipulate Sand, as well as most minerals and rocks; however, silicon based minerals, lke sand, are his real forte: Damear; he isn't sure of his affiliation yet, though; should he fight for Kendor or Damear? on the one hand, Kendor abandoned him at birth; on the other Damear abandoned him in his youthful years.: No Rank: Arabian styled knife, Earth element, used to manipulate mostly sand.
