(warning: I don't write like really ever, so forgive me if it sucks, at least I tried )

This I call a tragic tale because there is no other way it could be. I takes place oh, about 100 years ago, in a small magical community in Japan. The only people there are an odd race of winged magic users, who's abilitys are not trained, but rather selected at birth at random. These people are called Asura, and due to this being the only town of Asura, that as well is the name of the town.

Our story follows a young Asura male, about the age of 65 years, which would be like a 20 year old human, his name was Kiyoshi. He had wings of the black kind, that would mean nobility. He like every other Asura had a younger sister, and a natural ability. His sister was a plant summener, but she has nothing to do with this story. Kiyoshi spoke with animals, which was a common trait in his bloodline.

Kiyoshi didn't want the life of an average Asurian, so he trained in martial arts and hoped to someday leave Asura, see what there was in life to offer because he knew there was nothing in Asura for him. His mother had died, and he never quite forgave his father for marrying his sister off, like some cattle at an auction.

One day, while sitting by a river bed when he had just thought it over, and was leaving for good, he saw a woman he had never seen before. She was a young Asurian, with raven black wings and beautiful sapphire hair. She was brushing he finger tips in the river, singing softly to herself.

Like any man he was smitten, he tried to appoach her but lost his nerve, so he climbed up and tree and spied on her. She was soon joined by a almost as lovely white winged woman. White wings might I add also mean nobility. This one had lovely red hair and it apeared she was to heavy up top for her poor kimono to take. It made her look a little too "easy" for Kiyoshi's taste, so he just gazed upon his dark bird.

After the first sighting, he began to follow her very enthusiasticly, which most people might call stalking. He found that everyone called her Suki, if it was short for something he didn't know. He also found that she was not in an arranged marrage, like most of the women in their town were. She came from a family, who had seemed to out live all the men, because, well their weren't any men left. So this ment he just might have a chance with her..... and he wouldn't have to beg for her hand, with their being no father and all.

One day while he was spying in the tree tops, Suki was accompanied by her friend, who also had a name, Himi. Himi seemed excited about something and was speaking so high pitched, he could not understand anything, other than the fact her arranged marrage had gone through and Himi would be married to the town pretty boy. The two woman embraced for a while and said their goodbyes, for Himi would be a wife, like most husbands in this town they like to keep their wives locked up and too themselves.

After Suki was "by herself" she sat down looking very sad. She sighed deeply, looked towards the tree after hearing a quick rustle. Kiyoshi was frantic, he went to climb higher, then hopefully she will not spot him. Then faster than you could imagin, the branch Kiyoshi was on gave way, and BOOM! he was delievered right at Suki's feet.

She stared at this sad imagin for a moment. Kiyoshi's face felt hot, he wanted to be anywhere, or anything , just not himself , making a fool infront of the woman he so greatly admired. She stared coldly at him for only a moment but she couldn't hold anymore, and fell into a hard fit of laughter, falling over on her side. This sad image of a noble falling out of a tree at her feet. The brantches entangled in his hair, his feathers all ruffled up, and the pure look of terror on his face.

After several minutes of humiliation she stopped laughing and apoligised, it's just her mother seemed to always say "men don't grow on trees" everytime she turned down a potentional suttor, she explaned. He stood up after the initial shock wore off and dusted himself off, bowed to her and ran away.

He couldn't believe what an idiot he made of himself. She'd never want him now, not after that. Everytime she'd see him she'd laugh, he thought for sure. But he was far from wrong. As a matter of fact, she went about town asking if anyone knew of this strange man who fell out of the tree. Which soon led her to Kiyoshi.
