~ Misleading the Masses ~

Have you ever wanted to go see a movie or read a book because the concept on the cover/reviews looked so amazing?
Then when you actually got into to watch the movie or read the book it was nothing like it was set up to be.
Anyone else ever experienced this?

Plus:

What was the most books that you have ever read in a month??

Well, not really misleading in the way you say, but more so misleading spiritually. The Da Vinci Code is giving people that are too gullible the wrong message.

I find that I am quite influenced by the cover art and on book summary. A cover has to grab me in the first place if I am browsing and after that I have to read the summary...and after that I actually flip to the last page of the book and read the last sentece. This is a really annoying habbit that I picked up from an ex girlfriend. I haven't had it spoil a book yet...if anything it sparks my interest in a book so much that I find myself having to buy it. I guess because of all of this that I am nearly always swayed by the covers and reviews. I haven't been too let down by the books I have read this way though so I guess this system works for me.

The most books I think I've read in a month...
probably around the 12 mark and some of those books were very quick reads (like the series of unfortunate events books that literaly take an hour-two hours to read...tops). I also remember swallowing the Vampire Chronicles in a very short period of time. I think I read quicker if I'm reading something that is part of a series (curiosity helps me read quicker I guess).
