Why Maggie?
Nor do you see Lisa or Bart get older.
Perhaps all The Simpsons episodes are packed into a 1 year period.

This was the best rationale that I could have come up with when I came about the same though regarding their age. But to think, 300+ episodes doesn't exactly mean a years worth of events since within many episodes they display events that occur over more than one day. For example, Bart traveling to France or Homer seeing his mother for the first time in years.

It's just a running thing that I think works well with the simpsons just being the simpsons. However there were points when Bart and Lisa were in a grade lower than they have been shown to be ya kno'. =P

Well they DO have those few future episodes where everyone was supposedly older. Even Apu's children were shown to have aged once in Bart's future...working at the kwiki mart.

Seems to happen in a lot of shows. rofl

I remember one, where Lisa and Bart saw their future (about 10 years) and Maggie didn't grow at all.

Yeah, None of them really grows.. but there are some episodes where they are older. Lisa getting married, Bart and Lisa look at their future..etc.

Its only a cartoon but how long has bart been 10-years old for? 20 years?
i read somewhere recently that if he was a real person he'd be in his 20's by now...i think it would be....24 or something...
