 The large grey spotted stallion, grazed in the fields with the fresh grass that was showing. His coat was still very thick with his winter coat. Quietly, he moved to another part of the field. Lifting his head up, he looked around for something or someone to talk to. All he saw were trees, and other inaniment objects that, of course, didn't talk back. A small sigh escaped the stallion as he stood content of his life. Everything was great, he had freedome to run around as he pleased, and large fields that he could graze from. What was this longing feeling he was having? Shrugging at the thought, he put his head back down to continue his grazing.

 Halloween trotted through the under brush of the forest her head down like a feline on the hunt. It was a fairly nice day and she wanted to spend it in the sun even if it meant she would get a bit extra warm from her rather thick year around coat. Her pace quickened as she spotted the sun light pooring into the trees as they began to thin. She blinked as she came into the sun and out into the field. As her eyes adjusted to the bright light she spotted the stallion in the field by himself. She stopped some feet outside of the trees and watched the stallion. She wasn't sure if she should approach as he seemed to be occupied.

As he lifted his head, he noticed something moving near the forest. Squinting a little, he made out another Soquili. Not wanting to bother the Soquili, he walked over to the river to get a drink of water. Turning his head to look at the othe Soquili, curiousity got the better of him. As he slowly walked over, he noticed the other Soquili was a mare. Stopping, he sighed then shook his head. "Come on Apple, you need to meet new mares sometime." He said quietly to himself. Taking a few more steps forward, he stopped at an unthreatening distance. "Hello there." He said softly. Bowing his head, he hoped that the mare had heard him.

Halloween watched the stallion from the corner of her eye as she pretended to graze. His actions intrigued her. She watched him as he went to the river then started back towards her. When he stopped she got worried. Did she really have that bad of a vibe that he didn't even want to come near her? The moment he started forward again she let out breath she hadn't even realized she'd been holding. When he came closer enough to really make out she looked down to the grass to make it look more like she was grazing so he wouldn't notice her watching him. Her ears twitched at his voice and she looked up. "Hello." She replied bowing her head back to him.

Letting a soft smile rest on his face, the stallion looked at the mare grazing. Looking around, he expected a mate and some children to be coming around soon. Many mares that he met were going to have children soon, or were planning on having children. A soft sigh slipped out of the stallion as the mare didn't flinch or run away. Apple's ears swiveled around to listen to the mare's voice. Building up the courage, the stallion thought of what to say, "How are you?" He finally asked. Looking at the mare's whiskers, he let his smile grow a little, they were intresting to him.

Halloween watched the stallion closely as he seemed to be looking for something to come out of the trees. What she didn't know though. "I am lovely. Thank you for asking. How are you?" She asked taking note of his gaze on her whiskers. It always amused her how everyone was interested in her whiskers.

The stallion smiled at the mare then looked into her green eyes. Halloween had a thousand mile stare, which Apple thought was amusing. Nodding at the mare, he answered her, "I'm well." He said noticing that he was staring at her whiskers. "May I ask for your name?" Apple asked hoping that this mare wouldn't think he was too odd to at least be friends with.

Halloween peered at Apple's gray spotted body which she found interesting. Especially the apple markings and flower on his side. His markings actually looked edible and that amused Halloween to no end. "My name is Halloween." She replied with a nod of her head. "What might your name be?"

Noticing the mare looking at his spots, he smiled. The stallion was proud of his markings that he was blessed by the gods with. "That's a very lovely name," Apple sputtered out before answering the mare's question. "The name's Apple-oosa, but you may call me Apple, miss Halloween." He said politely, with his usual small smile on his face.
