umm not sure of that
but depending on what pokemon game you from from the gba in the bottom slot of the ds, you will run into different random pokemon
i can post a list of eatch game and what pokemon you can find, teres around 5 different ones from eatch game

Ruby in the GBA Slot Seedot,Nuzleaf,Mawile, Zangoose, Solrock
Sapphire in the GBA Slot Lotad, Lombre, Sableye, Seviper, Lunatone
with Emerald in the GBA Slot Pineco, Gligar, Shuckle, Teddiursa, Ursaring
FireRed in the GBA Slot Caterpie, Metapod, Ekans, Arbok, Growlithe, Elekid
LeafGreen in the GBA Slot Weedle, Kakuna, Sandshrew, Sandslash,Vulpix, Magby
Any Pokémon Game in the GBA Slot Haunter, Gengar
i am not sure but i think in the new pokemon games they have every pokemon ever made
you can only find thses pokemon on only special places or just one route

also some info i heard
is that the ds pokemon d and p
will let you hook up wireless with the pokemon game for the wii
to trade pokemon back and forth, and other stuff

I heard that the DS was going to be used as a controller for some games. Like Final Fantasy - Crystal and Zelda - Four Swords with the GBA. This time touch screen...amazing. We love you Nintendo! Just hurry things up...

You can do this too! D: Quote: Diamond and Pearl boast compatibility with many other Pokémon games. They can connect with the Game Boy Advance Pokémon RPGs after earning the National Pokédex, when the Pokémon Game Boy Advance cartridge is inserted into slot 2 (the Game Boy Advance cartridge and accessory slot of the Nintendo DS) while Diamond or Pearl is in slot 1 (the DS card slot). After uploading six Pokémon, players go to an area called Pal Park and must capture them in the wild. Pokémon uploads are restricted to six per day per GBA cartridge, and the player will have to re-capture such transferred Pokémon in Pal Park with a special Park Ball that has 100% chance of capture before transferring from another GBA game. Pokémon cannot be transferred from an English GBA game to a Japanese DS game, and the player cannot transfer any of the Pokémon back to the GBA cartridge once they are transferred to Diamond or Pearl. This is what my older brother and I always do. We Res. both so each of us has the pokemon from that game. we capture it all trade the ones we don't have. that makes it easier for us to obtain all the pokemon. which is pretty useless. you only get a certificate. sad

We Res. both so each of us has the pokemon from that game. we capture it all trade the ones we don't have. that makes it easier for us to obtain all the pokemon. which is pretty useless. you only get a certificate. sad ya i know its never been worth it it saddens me at lest they could give you a item or something but i remember why they started it is that back in the days of the first one, they had that gameboy printer that could print images on little paper off the gb and i believe that you could print the certifiacte but its been so long maybe i am wrong
