The sun had just risen on the small town, the cottages and stores all still closed and peaceful while the day was still young. However, one thing seemed a bit different, off against the stark silence of dawn. The shadows moved swiftly between each building, clinging to the lithe form of a young child. From the size of the shadow, the child seemed to have yet to reach its teen years. Despite the youthful stature, the figure moved with ease, and with the slip of a shadow, her form became clear.
Sjestaia was not like any other children that littered the streets of the town, in fact odds were most could assume she was a sort of vagrant, save for the smooth clothing that lined her body. The suit could only be described as a vibrant violet, save for the white gloves and thin straps that wrapped around her chest. Off of her shoulders also were white sleeves, though they seemed cut short to just cover the top. Her hair was the most interesting of all, and her strongest feature saves for her eyes. Held in a high pony, the sides were lavender, while the rest a deep raven. And just like her hair, one eye was that same lavender, and the other raven black.
Pushing her small frame tight against the wall, she glanced around for an early target to test her newfound powers. From prior experiences, the best time to use her Legerdemain was during the morning, when most of the townsfolk were tired and quite slow on the uptake. And so, the newest training session began upon the sight of a man walking out of his home. He appeared to be on his way to the market, possibly to open his own shop since it was still closed. Smiling softly to herself, she moved out of the shadows and looked both ways before turning towards him.
It was too easy she found out soon enough, her pace picking up as she ran past him, 'bumping' into his side where he had placed his cash. With a quick grab to 'steady' herself, she pulled away and forced a blush on her features, apologizing with a bowed head before rushing off and around the corner. Pressing herself against the wall once more, she glanced at her prize, and let out a soft laugh.
Indeed, another success, in the form of a few bills. However, her success was short lived as a shout sounded from a man, and she softly cursed her luck before taking off once again.
