Kreator is a popular thrash metal band from Essen, Germany. They originally started under the name Tormentor. Starting their career in 1982, they played thrash metal with Venom influences[1]. They differ from the Bay Area thrashers in their brutality and speed. Their style of music is similar to their compatriots Destruction and Sodom, the two biggest German thrash metal bands. All 3 of these bands are often credited with helping create Death Metal, by containing a few elements of what was to become death metal.
Kreator's work has been consistently in the vein of pure thrash, with the exception of three albums during the 1990s when they undertook serious experimentation. Incorporating industrial, goth and avant-garde elements into their sound, the results were uneven in some fans' eyes.

Great band, Ny fav. album would be either Pleasure to Kill or Coma of Souls. My fav. song is Violent Revolution.

all i've heard by them is a fairly new one (not sure if it's their most recent), "enemy of god." anyone have any suggestions of other/better albums i should look for?

Gravechylde xThexExecutionerx they sound sooooo much different live Better or worse? I'm seeing them next year with King Diamond heart i think the music was better lve but the vocals were worse for me cause i kinda forgot they were form germany so the lead singer has the thick german accent and the yelling was kinda lame live but besides that there awesome

i dont really mind about vocals live, but i would dislike going to a concert where the band is barely trying to play, that just kind of sickens me

Mister Lewis i dont really mind about vocals live, but i would dislike going to a concert where the band is barely trying to play, that just kind of sickens me Agreed
