This was a really good play. The director & choreographer were my teachers, and I could tell there styles in the production. The transitional phases to each scene was like a beautiful dance through time...it was literally like watching the time pass by.

The set design was simple yet intricately tasteful to set the mood. The palettes of the furniture, paint, and curtains had a warm feeling to it; almost like a familiar home. And the lighting was beautifully done with special cutouts to resemble sunlight flooding through windows/trees.

As for the play itself, I really think that Chekov had a talent for capturing the beauty and essence of normal everyday life; and how just living in itself is the challenge. The actors (some who I got to know at the green room) were incredible, and really genuine to there role. Especially Natalya, who had such a horrible personality that I loved hating her. I also loved the maid, Nana. She was just so darn cute, and I really felt sorry for her when Natalya said those things to her.

Overall I felt that this play was a timeless opus, and has a deep meaning that everyone can still identify with today. mrgreen

I love Three Sisters! It's so sad, though. I'd like to play Nana one day.

Where was it you saw this production?
