I could never figure out who would be the better uke in that pairing...xD

Anyway, as the title states, I'm looking for somebody to share a one-on-one SasoDei/DeiSaso roleplay with. I'm on almost everyday, but if I haven't responded for a long time, feel free to PM me. I do that sometimes ^^;

The Rules

1. Not to sounds bossy, but I must be Deidara. I'm not good at role-playing Sasori AT ALL, so it'd be easier on you and me both if you played Sasori.
2. I don't mind R rated scenes, but if it comes to that, it must be taken out over e-mail or AIM. That kind of stuff is against the Gaian TOS
3. Please, try to type at least five sentences. Really, you have no clue how hard it is to work off of " Sasori waited for Deidara to come." Argh ><
5. We can either play over PM or on the thread. However, once you show intrest I'll PM you the plot ^^
6. PLEASE STAY IN CHARACTER AT ALL TIMES! I can't stress it enough! If you're going out of character, please use (( )), ( ), OOC:, etc.
7. NO CHATSPEAK. Please, have a basic understanding of grammer. Run-on sentences annoy the crap out of me, and so does l33t.
8. If you have intrest in this roleplay, please post here or PM me. You're safer with a PM as I probably won't come here often. (When contacting me via PM, please title your PM 'OMG PONIES' so I know you read the rules.

(( I'll make first post ^^))

The red light of a sinking sun outlined a tall man, his long, blond hair tied into a ponytail which narrowly touched his back. Blue-green eyes darting from left to right occasionaly, he let out a smile sigh. It's our first mission, the least he could do is show, un. He thought this arrogantly- it had only been ten minutes, and here he was, complaining. Although, he was curious about his new partner. The mysterious figure whom was called 'Leader-sama' said his name was Sasori, a fellow artist. He chuckled. A fellow artist. He should have known that Deidara was the best around if he was to hire him. After all, the Rock Village was small, not as big as Konoha. Surley he was a known criminal...?
Anyway, he had heard the 'fellow artist' was from Suna, the village hidden in the Sand. Another big one. Ah well. He Deidara would show that no artist could compete wit the glorious clay sculptures he made.

Art was a bang, after all.

A fellow artist... Who works with explosives, or so I've heard. That's no artistry - anyone could blow stuff up and call it 'art'. I'll bet he's just some psycho kid who got kicked out of his villiage.

A black-cloaked figure came into view on the crest of a nearby mossy hill. He walked slowly and very unenthusiastically. It was clear that he really didn't want to be going where he was.

Akasuna no Sasori was only late because of his long argument with Leader-sama about trying to get out of having a new partner. Orochimaru had been bad enough when the two of them had worked together, so it was no mystery why Sasori was reluctant to accept a new comrade. The last two blissfully Orochimaru-less weeks he had spent perfecting new designs and working on his puppets. All of that peace and quiet was about to change, however.

When the dark figure drew near enough for features to be seen, one would notice the shock of red hair as well as the shadowed eyes made even darker by the hour. In all other respects, he looked like any other average traveller. The robe he was wearing was what distinguished him from any other kind of merchant or ninja. The red clouds and black material clearly made him a member of Akatsuki.

Sasori reached the ground in front of Deidara with a sigh. He had to look up a good amount because of the height difference, but his critical gaze was no less intimidating. Sasori fought the urge to smirk.

This kid's not going to last one week travelling with me...

His composure regained, he addressed his new partner. "Iwa no Deidara, I presume?" The tone was polite enough, yet managed to carry a hint of a sarcastic undertone.

This was Sasori? From what the feminine-looking man had heard about the red-head, he was expecting something...diffrent. At least to look older. He can't be much older than me, un. he thought with confusion. Despite the rumors, the man looked about seventeen.

" That's me, un. You're Akasuna no Sasori, then, un." Well, at least that's what he hoped. Judging by the red and black trademark of the Akarsuki cloak he was dawned in, it didn't take a genius. However, you never know what kind of rumors reaching other villages, but that didn't matter anyway. He could and would kill anybody that got in his way.

Compared to Deidara, Sasori looked to take all matters somewhat seriosly. His eyes looked worn, showing that he might work at artwork just as hard as himself, but that changed nothing. From what Leader-Sama had told him, he was a puppeter. So what? Anybody could make a puppet, it took wood and strings, maybe some paint. Despite the feeble qualities of the artwork, however, the man held some respect for an artist-even as dull as this one seemed. However, the wave of red hair had caught him off gaurd. So, was that why he was called the Scorpion of the Red Sand?

He seems like an annoying sort of person, but at least his voice isn't. He doesn't look to be completely insane, either. That's good.

Sasori absent-mindedly ran his hand through his hair to smooth it out, even though it wasn't really needed. Despite his wan appearance and depression, he actually had quite a bit of energy to spare and was eager to get the mission over and done with.

"Let's get going. You may speak to me or ask questions along the way, but I don't guarantee that I will reply." The puppet-master monotonously offered. He then started off towards the setting sun without waiting for Deidara.

Well, it was obvious that this guy didn't like to talk much. Deidara couldn't exactly say he was shocked. A lot of artists had the same quality, and this guy was no exception. However, as Deidara kept to his new partner's pace, he decided to ask questions, get the ball rolling. There destination was far, and he sure as Hell didn't want to spend the whole time in silence.

" So, Sasori-san, why puppets? I mean, how do use them in combat? I can't think of how you could, un." There. If he got a response, it would be debateful, to say the least. Deidara liked to debate. He liked it even more when he won, in which he was positive he could.

Sasori honestly had to say that he was surprised. Deidara was asking him something that he should have already known - ninja who used puppets were uncommon, but by no means rare. The readhead assumed that there weren't any puppet-ninja in Iwagakure rather than Deidara being slow.

"Why puppets? Because they can be useful in combat. They can be equipped with all kinds of weapons like blades or poisons. They require creativity to design and use." The voice speaking still sounded dull, but at least showed a spark of enthusiasm on the subject. His dark eyes too showed a sign of life.

"What about you? The only thing that I've heard is that you work with explosives. Do you use exploding tags or something else?"

Ah, he got Sasori to talk! Deidara smirked behind the collar of his black and red cloak. Perfect. At Sasori's question, however, he was a little taken aback. Explosive tags? What kind of artwork was that?

" I use explosives, un, but not like that. What I use is clay, straight from Iwagakure, alothough sometimes I make it myself, un." From under his cloak, he pulled outthe pouch in which the tan clay was present, used for any purpose he wanted it to- it was at his own disposel. He replaced it quickly, though- When the time called for it, he'd show Sasori-san what true art really was.

" Of course, any idiot can throw a ball of clay. I just manipulate it into shapes- birds, spirders, things like that, un. Things that are short-lived are beautiful, and are the true essence of art, un."

Exploding clay? That's unique, to say the least. It might be a clan secret or something.

The enthusiasm of Deidara seen when he was explaining about his own art medium was a little bit annoying, but Sasori was still curious about what he had to say. He didn't really see the point of making the clay into shapes when it was going to explode anyway, but Deidara was an artist and he had to respect that. But when his younger companion voiced his opinion about the true essence of art, Sasori had to speak up.

"There's no point in art for it to be short-lived. Art is about the history and tale behind each piece. An artist is supposed to look back and reflect on their work. They can't do that if their work is temporary."
PostPosted: Fri Mar 09, 2007 3:29 pm

(( I am SO sorry! I haven't had the time to get on- I haven't forgotten! ^^ wink )

Deidara cocked his eyebrow. That was what Sasori thought the true meaning of art was? In all honesty, the blond artist thought it was an intelligant statment, yet he couldn't help to disagree.

" That's true, un. Yet, when artwork is long lived, it's something that's used to being seen, something well-known, which is agood thing, true. However, then it is copied again and again, then it becomes old, un. When something is short-lived-much like my own, un.- the image is always fresh, leaving people to wonder it's enchantment, un."

His azure eyes narrowed, looking at the ground. Sasori was a fellow artist, he didn't want to sound like he was lecturing the red head. With a slight undertone, he muttered " This makes art truely beautiful, un..."

"Artwork that's been around for a long time can't always be copied, however. It may be deeply personal to the artist, and reminds them of how things were for them in the past. Besides, not all art is meant to be shown to others. Pieces that are familiar to the artist but not shown to anyone else have an air of mystery."

Sasori clasped and stretched his hands out in front of them. His dark-eyed gaze wasn't fixed on Deidara, but rather the setting sun.

"I understand your perpective, Deidara-san. Fleeting beauty does have its values. Just like this sunset. But even short-lived beauty lasts for a long time in memory. In that respect, no art is truly short-lived."
PostPosted: Sun Mar 18, 2007 6:48 am

(( Welcome back!))

Deidara kept himself from smiling. " I see what you mean Sasori-san, un. I never looked at it like that, un." It looked like Leader-Sama was right. Quarrels were expected from two diffrent artists with diffrent tastes, but it might have all come together eventually.

He grinned under his collared cloak, the reckless one that once drove the Iwakage girls mad. He had had no time for them, anyway. " You know something? For now on, I think I'm going to call you Sasori-donna, alright?" Sasori had earned his respect quicker than he had imagined. He still believed there was some artwork that was always short lived, thus making it beautiful, but Sasori's point was-he hated to admit it- also right.

Azure eyes also locked on the sunset. The blue sky was turning into diffrent shades of pink, orange, and red- he could see why it was such an insperation to others. It would soon be nightime, and twinkling stars would dance above the two S-ranked criminals, and soon other creatures of the night would stir. " Better set up a place to stay for the night,un." he stated. " Better safe than sorry. He would keep arguing, but it's hard to win when your competetor was always right.

Sasori's mood was lightened immensely when Deidara accepted his viewpoint. The puppet-master had always loved to debate and loved it even more when he won. Sure, he knew that it had been more of a draw than an outright victory, but for him it was close enough.

Unvoiced questions rose in Sasori's mind when Deidara had made the declaration of how he would be addressed. It wasn't that he minded the title, but rather he wondered why Deidara had chosen that one in particular. Maybe it was only one of his companion's quirks or a desire to be friendly that had motivated him to say that.

The two missing-mins continued onwards until they located a small copse of trees in the unpopulated landscape. The canopy was thick enough to ward off rain if a storm happened to arise during the night, yet had enough openings for the stars to be seen. It satisfied Sasori, at least.

The puppet-master selected a bed of comfortable-looking fallen leaves on which to place a tent through use of a summoning scroll. Another such scroll brought forth an array of weapons such as razor wire and exploding tags. Sasori took a few of these into his arms and tucked even more into his cloak.

"I'm going to set up some traps around our camp. It shouldn't take long. Feel free to make yourself comfortable." With those words, Sasori departed.
