You mean "Detective Conan", right? It's great, but I wish they'd kept the original names, instead of altering them, as it's weird to see "gaijin"-type names mixed with the originals in a lot of cases. I enjoyed the anime a lot (no name changes there), and the manga's superb, but I find the name changes really distracting. 3nodding

Necro'ing.
I love love love love love this manga! It's by far one of my favorites. I adore the whole mystery plot spliced with humor.
Plus, the characters are awesome. Conan is such a cutie and Rachel is really interesting.
It's actually still ongoing in Japan. I think they've hit over 67 volumes. eek As much as I love the series, I'm not sure I can shell out that much money. lol
And I completely agree about the name change. My guess is they changed the names before manga became very popular or to stay with the anime name changes. Regardless of the reason, it's really annoying. At least Rachel and Jimmy aren't too bad. But seriously, Harley? gonk

I've only seen the anime and read 2 chapters of the manga (somewhere after the anime ends), but it wasn't that oh so impressive, I would have liked it more if they didn't exaggerated it like that. The whole turn the grown up in a kid is to sci-fi for a serious mystery anime/manga. And there's the ongoing thingy, how long is that guy staying a kid? Until he reaches adulthood? (I don't know if in the manga he came back to normal) The cases are good, but they have no connection and the explanation is to good to be true sometimes. Overall it's a good series if you have nothing else better to read ... sweatdrop
