Rengo smiled softly as he lay on his side, pink-red eyes floating around in the air, following the unsteady flying patterns of a lone butterfly. It was small and yellow, though Rengo knew it would be going soon. His eyes shifted toward the sunset, the sun had almost disappeared completely and the whole savannah was cast in a soft pink gold. "Pretty~" He cooed out to himself and then chuckled, wishing someone was around to see it with him. Maybe he should go bug his uncle? He knew Damu was completely freaked out by him... and he loved it.

He rose to his white-tipped toes and stretched, tail flicking. "What now?" He said, raising his brows as he looked to the butterfly. Finally it started to flutter off though and he sighed, glancing toward the great woods that seperated his homelands and the southlands. He'd wandered into the southlands this morning.

The slender form of a feline made it's way across the Southlands. Spotted green fur could be seen if one stared or looked for her closely enough. Otherwise the leopard just looked like moving grass. Very fast moving grass.

Pink eyes scanned the vast area around her before she spotted something black. Something black and pink. This looked tastefully fun. Changing her course she slowed down and approached Rengo slowly wondering if he would notice her right away. After all how could you not notice something moving towards you?

This looks like it will be fun, very fun.

Nafsi thought to herself, a grin crossing her features, displaying her sharp white teeth.

Though some might believe the opposite Rengo was really rather aware of his surroundings. As he watched the woods his left ear twitched very slightly. Wind blowing through the grass? His eyes moved along the tree tops and he shook his head. No, no wind blew today.

He turned and seemed to duck down in the grass a little, though he knew he'd probably already been spotted. "Stop!" He called, eyes floating over the moving grass. He couldn't quite make out the leopardess as she moved though, the green and black seemed to make it a little harder to reccognize her when she was on the move.

His fur seemed to fluff a little and he suddenly straightened up again, feeling embaressed. What the hell was crouching supposed to do for his sake? Besides... he wasn't a fight! "I mean.. hello!" He was still backing up though, shouting his words toward the movement.

This one is observant....excellent

The leopardess thought to herself as she approached the other. She went at a slower pace than before but she was going at a decent speed. The next time she slowed was when she was a yard or two away from the other. Finally with a few feet between them the female stopped moving forward.

"Hello there," Nafsi flashed a brief smile. "My name is Weusinafsi." This time she decided to tell them her name first unlike with the others that she had met. Her body settled down into a sitting postion, her tail wrapping around her paws.

His eyes landed on the leopardess only when she sat up. His heart was still racing, probably from the sudden realization that 'something' was 'coming after' him. But the sight before him was not some creepy... insane looking creature. No, rather she was very beautiful yet still dangerous looking. Never had his eyes laid upon the body of a leopard before, so this was a first for him.

He licked his lips after a moment, staying where he was. Weusinafsi. A mouthful. After a little bit the Juvenile seemed to be calming down. He bowed his head toward the new aquaintance. "Wonderful. My name is Mirengo'Kauta." He said, his voice slipping into a pleasent purr. One of the few things he'd learned from watching his mother was... being as pleasent and charming as you could. Actually he probably learned these things through trial and error, his mother was a rather hard creature to please.

"I do not wish to sound so rude, but my curiousity has overcome that fear... what species are you miss?" Well, he'd rather be blunt about it then try and cut around the hedges.

The leopardess was studying the other carefully, waiting to see what he would say and do. The marvelous response by the other surpised the female, but she did not show it.

Such good manners.

Weusinafsi mused to herself as she did a slight bow with her own head. "It a pleasure to meet such a well-mannered young one." Needless to say Nafsi was not old but it was an obvious fact that she was older that the black and pink male.

A slight chuckle escaped her when he asked her what she was. "You do not sound rude at all Mirengo'Kauta. I am a leopard, a close relative of your own speices."

Needless to say he felt very proud of her compliment, he practiced his manners a lot and though it was fun to be a bit playful and childish when meeting other children he thought it was best to try and make a good first impression on adults and outsiders of the pride! His ears pricked at the words 'young one', though they did not annoy him. His eyes moved over her body slowly, her face, her eyes. She was probably around his moms age, give or take.

"A leopard.." He said slowly, and then grinned. "Leopard sounds a lot fancier than Lion." He exclaimed, just pointing out his opinion. "But thank you, Weusinafsi." His mouth made her name sound awkward and he had a slighty trouble in saying it fully, but he managed and was sure it would get better with each use. "You've wandered to this place at such an excellent time!" Ah yes, something to talk about! "The sunset is just setting, it's particularly lovely tonight." He motioned with a white tipped paw and turned his attention to it for a moment.

Nafsi studied Mirengo'Kauta closely, liking how the pink and black fitted together nicely along with the white that decorated his fur. Her own coat of fur was nothing special, spots littered her green fur and her eyes were pink, not much more than that. It was useful in hiding in place with much green, or a pale green.

When the lion spoke her attention was focused on whgat he was saying. When she heard the difficulty of pronouncing her full name she spoke up. "Please, call me Nafsi, it will be much easier for you." Then sunset was mentioned. She had heard from someone that they were particularly beautiful around here. The female's gaze then followed the other to watch the sunset. "It is amazing how beautiful nature can be."

Feeling more at ease he just chuckled. "Na~fsi." He purred out and nodded. "Then it is only fair for you to call me Rengo, though you seem to have an easier time pronouncing my name." He said, winking at her.

The sunset would be over soon though, it was a pity. "Yes.. nature is lovely. Strange though... if you look hard enough I think you can find the beauty even in the sarrow-filled parts of nature." Dead trees... death. Rocky landscaps.. ruined land for one reason or another. Rengo hadn't seen much terrain that could be considered 'ugly' by the masses, but one day he hoped to. He wanted to see everything the world had to offer, he thought the world was beautiful no matter what.

His darker pink eyes floated back to the leopardess, it seemed as though he could not get enough of how she looked. It was forgivable though, any youngster would be curious of a creature they'd never met before. He loved the spots covering her mody, they were pleasing to look at and the green of her fur was much more refreshing than the dusty colors of most of his pride. "I have another question..." He said suddenly, a little shy about it. "Are spots a characteristic of your species... or is it something rare? And... oh! Do leopards usually have green furs and different variations of that shade... or is that also a rarity?" His head tilted just slightly. He knew it was uncommon for him to have his own colors, though not extremely rare. The pink could be found on his mother, her own fringe of hair. The black probably had something to do with his father's mane.

"Rengo it is then." Nafsi replied to him in her somewhat silky tone of voice. "When you get to be older pronouncing names gets a bit easier, but some can still be difficult." Before she had said his full name she had told it to herself a few times in her mind.

Nafsi nodded at his next words. "Beauty is all around us, it encircles us, what some think is hidious others think is extremely beautiful." The leopardess herself felt that everything was beautiful and if they could talk, they would all have interesting stories to tell.

"Spots are common among leopards but there are some that do not have them, as for coloration, green is a rare pelt among my speices and have not yet come across any that have green such as my own."
Nafsi was glad that the other was interested in learning many things "A more common color would probably be a golden color."

A pause followed that as she considered a few things. "I do enjoy the color of my pelt, I feel it gives me a bit of orginality."

He slowly sunk down further into the grass, now laying down with his eyes half shut as he listened attentively.

He was glad to see she seemed to take the same or a simular view on the world as him, a lot of his family did not. He had a lot of family, but it didn't bother him too much.

"I like spots... you don't see spots on lions too often." He commented, eyes flicking over his paws. He stretched the toes of his right, front paw out and then let the muscles relax again. "In fact I don't think I've ever met a lion with spots." He grinned, tilting his head so she could see his face.

So spots were common but green was not.. "I like the green on your pelt because it is relaxing, calming." It looked rather soft, and it made him feel like her pelt was very simular to the grass in his homelands. Soft and calming. "So your green is like my pink." He grinned more, shifting a little. "I~see! Interesting!"

"No you don't really do you?" Nafsi asked with a slight tilt of her head when they talked about spots. "I haven't seen a lion with spots, a few dots here and there but no spots, not like a leopard or a cheetah at least." The thought of seeing a lion with spots like her own made her quite curious. "Now I am curious as to if there is a lion with spots like my own...."

Rengo's next words brought a smile to her face. "Why thank you Rengo, I like how well the colors of your pelt match so nicely with each other." It was nice to see a difference in the pelts of those she had come upon. "Do you plan on traveling when you are older or perhaps sometime soon?" Nafsi couldn't help but pose this question to the other.

Rengo thought about it and grinned, he thought lions would look nice with leopard spots. At her next question his mind seemed to wander a little. Traveling, eh?

His tail flicked and his gaze slipped back toward his homelands. "Well." He frowned slightly, thinking still. "Well, traveling certainly would be very lovely... I wouldn't know where to go though.. I am rather dependent on my pride." He didn't even know how to hunt really, his mother still took care of him in that aspect of life. He grinned and turned his attention back to Nafsi. "I'd like to though."

Nafsi listened to his words intently rather interested in what he had to say. "The best part of traveling, at least for me, is not knowing where I am going but knowing that where ever I go there is something amazing there. I had nowhere in mind when I set off today and I ended up here which I must admit I rather enjoy so far." The leopardess cooed glad to see that Rengo was at least interested in traveling. She remained silent for a while thinking a few things through before posing a question "What if you had someone to travel with, someone that would help you along?"

It seemed that this feline had some plotting going through her mind. Of course she wouldn't force him to do something that he did not want to but perhaps she could sway him towards what she wanted.

Oh? She'd never planned out where she was going to go before? That was rather adventurous! Rengo didn't seem bothered by the thoughts of having no plans set in stone, actually he realized it was probably funner that way.

"If I had someone to travel with?" He repeated, head tilting as he watched her. His mind was rolling through the possibilities and he grinned. "What, like you?" His ears perked just slightly. He wouldn't mind that at all, though he wasn't sure how his mother and father would feel about it.

His tail curled around his paws slowly and he whistled out, letting out a deep breath. "That would be great, really. I just dunno... I mean I could always leave here with out telling anyone but..." He frowned thoughtfully and glanced toward the Kusini lands. "Well actually I am sure my mother would not be so against as to restrain me from such wants."
