One came floating at me the other day, but it was only a wooden trunk with bloody handprints tile in it. I don't want that. :XP:

I got a pink giftbox the last week or the week before, I sold it & brought a bone dragon helm.
That's what I do now, best way to get some items before they get out of reach. You never know when an item might be the finishing item you want for an outfit.

I'm always too curious to open the box, on the very rare occasions when I do get one. I know the unopened boxes sell for more than their contents, in most cases, but I just have to see what's inside... lol

I will NOT sell a thing in the marketplace now.
i might buy the odd cheap item, but i'm not risking any of my accounts by putting myself open to receiving botted gold talk2hand
i read a PM from a mod saying that the vend was 100% safe, and even if you receive botted gold for an item you wont get banned because it's part of a legitimate transaction, same goes for trades if it's gold going one way and a item the other.
this was pasted into a big post about the subject..BUT..further down the page, comments from another mod saying don't sell a thing! stressed
so i'm using this as an excuse to open any rare that i get!! the fox tail is the first cool item that i've got really, though i did get a man-eating plant which went straight into Peachy's house, and Pop got some bouncy antenna which are quite fun, but i'm well chuffed about the tail, now for an angelic or demonic headband! blaugh

That's scary, Jelly... so there's really no safe way to sell items now? I sold (and bought) some stuff in the marketplace recently, but I didn't realise it was so risky... *shudders* I usually put my unwanted Daily Chance items in there, too, once they build up too much in my inventory, although I doubt they'd attract botted gold - they're all cheap things, anyway.

the Daily Chance junk is a bit of a problem, wish you could get it out of your inventory, everyone gets the stuff so i can't see many wanting to buy it, and for the piffling amount you'll get for it is it worth the fuss? i think you should be able to dump it all at the reclaimation hub if you want rid 3nodding

lol You're probably right, but it does sell, funnily enough... I sell it really cheap, because they're all free items, anyway, but I figure you might as well get something for it. I also keep an eye open for people questing for odd things - like "all the red items" or whatever - and give them any I might have lying around.
The Marketplace thing is worrying, though, it's my main source of income here (not from Daily Chance items, obviously, but from selling Donation items...). xp

Eirwyn said she's taken to just going to the shops with any of the store items given in DC. You won't get more than half price for those in the marketplace now, anyway, so the safest thing to do is just sell all those tiles & peasant items & such back to the shops!

*sighs* You're right... I just sold all my DC garbage back to the shops. I was selling it at half price anyway in the Marketplace - it seemed like some people wanted to buy it, but if it isn't safe there... whatever. I'm going to be a poverty-stricken Gaian (although with some nice Collectibles... wink ) once my current gold runs out, if the Marketplace can't be safely used any more. rolleyes xp
