I was reading the latest installment of the plot today. (naturally as it is the anniversary) and i came to this conclusion.
Zurg come to gaia somewhat peacefully, and try to help out. This causes a great divide between gaians and zurgs. Zurgs cut and run, leaving many gaians PISSED!
Americans go to iraq, trying to make it a somewhat peaceful demococy. This causes a great divide between the people, and if we cut and run, there are gonna be some really PISSED Iraqies.
I just found the paralells amusing. There are probably more, but i'm tired and can't think.
Also did you notice the one Q in the quiz about the brain sucking creatures and they put 'republicans' as one of the answers? *che*... can't get away from politics even on gaia... stare (not that i'm rooting for rep.s anymore anyway... but that's another story sweatdrop )
