 A blur of grey black and teal spread across the trees in the broad savannah. She had been fortunate enough to find a patch of trees among the grasslands. The trees were the one place where she was fastest. Today she was after squirrels, and being successful. She caught one quickly and carried it's small body off to a bend in the tree. It seemed like a comfy place, after all. She crunched on her snack while surveying the grasslands below, waiting for someone, anyone to make her day interesting.

Fenris bounded back towards his homelands. Mom would be very upset with him- he'd been gone too long. He feared what she may or may not do. Would she yell at him, or make him convince Ryega to catch him some food for the next few days? Fenris didn't know, nor did he care to find out. He had been racing as fast as his little legs could muster until he saw the tree patch. It was a warm day, and a nice break was just the thing for him.
"What a day," the cheeton panted at the base of the shady tree. He could already feel his body temperature dropping.

Kizuka's ears perked up immediately as she heard the cub come running in. Cheeton... She thought. She could tell simply from the cub's odd proportions. If it weren't for the rumors in the lands of late, she wouldn't have believed it, but here was a fine specimen sitting in front of her. She abandoned her squirrel (It was almost entirely eaten by now anyway) and was at the base of the tree in an instant.
"Hello there hon," She said with mock sincerity. "What is a little thing like you doing all the way out here?"
She had no intentions of stealing like she normally did. No, this little one had nothing of value. However, she did intend to figure out what the heck these litte creatures were.

Fen jumped at her smooth descent and almost invisible coat. He was on his feet in an instant, and was backing away from the leopardess. He only knew Usiku, and he seemed pretty tame. Fenris hadn't ever met another leopard in his life! He'd heard tales from his father of leopards in the jungles. Dad said that sometimes they seemed like they could do magic, and he painted them to be fairly dangerous creatures.
He was wary of the dark figure... the fact that she just appeared in front of his face from nowhere was what scared him the most. "I was just... running, that's all." He gave her a wary look, and he wasn't about to let her out of his sight.

"No need to be so cautious, at least not around me," she told him. Perhaps one day she'd run into him again, in the future. It was always easier to steal when the victim was trusting. She gave him a "genuine" smile, hoping to ease his worries. "So, what are you?" she asked as if she didn't know. "I've not seen a creature like you before. And what's your name? I'm Kizu," she told him. Once again, she'd found that doling out her personal information she gained even more trust.
