There's already about 3 being made for .hack//G.U., and since G.U. ties in directly with ROOTS, they're more going to compress events, have flashbacks, and so on, to briefly touch on the events of ROOTS without making a separate manga series.
The manga for G.U. are: ~.hack//Alcor ~.hack//GnU ~.hack//GU+
They're also making a condensed remake of the Kite games at the same time, but I wasn't sure if I should group that with the rest. There's also a .hack//4koma.

.hack//Alcor and .hack//GnU are canon. .hack//G.U+ is not. The condensed version of IMOQ you are talking about is probably .hack//XXXX.

Yep! :3 Personally, I love them. I also just started reading the 4koma as well, it's really great. XD
