I wish we had something you could be envious about but we're still living in the rented condo and every house we make an offer on, they are way over priced and don't realize our offer is a good one, or someone else out bids us for a house that's not even worth the amount they are paying. We've put three offers out so far and nothing! And we're running out of time and money to get our crap in order.
sad Arg...I hate all this stress.
Other than that, everyone, have a great easter!!
We are currently selling our house, my sister and her husband are also trying too. Looking at the market right now, there are a lot of houses available (I guess that also depends on where you live). My sister's problem is that she just got her house a couple years ago and they haven't put enough money into in to list the house for what it is worth without owing on it when it sells. They bought when there was a big market for houses and they were all going high, it has mellowed out and now that they have to move (her husband is now working in another state and she would love for the house to sell so her and the kids can move there with him) they have the house listed too high to sell it and cannot go lower with out going too far in the hole. They currently have it listed $12,000 under what they owe (not including realtor costs).
In our case, we have our house listed at the current value, but it is not a great house (big, but not special in any way), we have been on the market for 50 days and so far we have had only one showing. If we drop the price too far than we have people wondering why it is too low also. I guess I am hoping for someone to come by with any offer, I would probably jump at it.
Both sides, buying and selling, can be frustrating.
