I honestly don't know how I should be pricing my art... sweatdrop Which is kinda sad because I already have my own shop and everything. I don't want to overcharge, but at the same time I see a lot of crappy stuff going for about as much as mine. (I'm not trying to be condescending in any way! It's just my opinion. sweatdrop )

Heh. Well I kinda wanted people's unsullied opinions. That's why I didn't explicitly link to my store.
The thing is, I'm not sure what the worth of gold is on Gaia. Do sealeds go for 5k anymore? And people sell their art for upwards of 50k, so how are people getting all this money?

Sealed sell for about 15k these days..
I happily pay like 20k for a good piece of couple art of myself and muh best friend..
More so if the occasion calls for it..
If you wanna knows the average value of gold, just play in the market place..
For your art..

I honestly dont know..
I'm no good at pricing myself..

But today I got muhself 8k for a full body chibi..

I often find myself in the same predicament of being unsure how much to charge. The only advice I can offer is to start off at a price you think is fair (or maybe even cheap, to get your name out there), and then up every now and then once clients start coming in. If people feel the price is too high, they won't buy. That's when you know you've found the right price.
