  The black as coal stallion slowly made his way through the forest and to his cave where he had been living since he met the mare of his dreams. A small was felt, but couldn't be seen since he had such dark coloring on his coat. Sighing, he thought about the mare that was like himself, but brown instead of black as night. Finally, he reached the cave and he turned around to look out at everything around his territory.

Eira moved silently along. Forever ago it seemed the mare had become lost...lost behond reason. SHe had no known idea of where she was or where she was going. Many a time the mare was ready to give up and just lay there...not moveing...for some creature to eat....and yet she was driven on by some longing...she didn't know what for or why...but it moved her and all but forced her to walk on. and Finally the mare found farmillar ground. She had been here before...with a stallion...like here...She sighed and continued onward, wondering where her feet and her heart were going to lead her.

Ear pricked up, the stallion saw something brown moving in the forest that was right infront of his cave. Standing motionless, like a statue, he watched the figure move. Once he saw the wings, and the speckles on the rump, he knew it was her. After watching her a few more seconds, Moon began at a slow walk and made his way to a run, until he reached the mare. Moon did not dare close his eyes, for he thought the mare would disappear. A small smile crossed his face as he bowed his head and began to speak, "Hello there. Long time no see Miss Eira."

The brown mare blinked, her head swinging around, eyes widdening. Her voice failed and yet she was filled with the same giddyness she had when she had first seen him. "It has been a long time..." she finally managed to say. "I...." she smiled lightly. "How have you been?" she asked softly. She looked down, slightly embaressed at her excitment. After all she had been away so long....she was surprised he even remebered her...

Quickly, the stallion looked the mare over once to make sure she didn't have any scratches, or cuts of any kind. Excited as could be, the stallion started trotting in place. Was this love? He asked himself as he twisted his ears around to listen to the lovely female. "I've been great my dear, and how have you been?" Smiling at the gorgeous mare, he stated, "You look gorgeous." A small nod of his head, made the stallion's mane hide his blushing face.

She smiled, before she blushed a bit. "Ok....i finally found my way back....i got lost what seems like forever ago...and it was horrible..." she looked down before glanceing up, chancing to as a question. "are you...um...are you alone?" she asked lightly. She had been gone so long she was sure he had found somone...special...and she found herself dreading that possability...

Hearing that the mare was lost made the stallion never want to leave her side again. Shaking his head, he remember that she was safe now. "I'm sorry that you were lost." He said taking a step closer to the mare feeling a little protective now. Tilting his head at the mare's question, he thought a little then nodded. "Oh! Yes I'm alone, I could never find anyone as gorgeous or as great as you are." He said nuzzling her side as he smiled at the beautiful mare.

Eira smiled at Moon's words. "Really?" She blushed lightly. "I..." she smiled a little and giggled. "I was worried that....well that you wouldn't remeber me and that...you wouldn't care about me..." she blushed and smiled. "I'm glad i'm back...." she said lightly.

As the mare blushed, the stallion flipped his mane out of his face. Listening to her words, the stallion leaned over a gave her a small 'horse kiss' on the cheek with a soft smile. "I could never forget about you, or not like you." Nuzzling the mare, Moon smiled and let out a happy sigh. Maybe this was love... but whatever it was, Dark Moon liked it a lot.

She just kept on smiling, before she lightly returned the nuzzle a bit shyly. "Are you still liveing in that cave?" she asked lightly, eyes and whole body showing happiness. She had never felt so happy before. Her fears had been, in one moment, dismissed.

"Yes I'm living in the cave, it is very nice. If you want you can live there with me." He said hoping that it would keep her from getting lost again. Tilting his head a little, Moon decided to ask the mare a question, "Do you like me more as a friend or..." Moon quickly stopped himself as he tried to think of what to say.

"Or....?" she asked, her breath stoping in her throught. Her eyes looked down and she waited for Moon to finish his question. She tried to stay calm...she didn't want to jump ahead of herself....

As he pawed at the ground, he tried to think of something to say. At last it came to him! "Do you like me more as a friend or a lover." He held his breath hoping the mare would say lover. Shaking his head a little, he was sure she was going to say just friends. As he listened to the mare, he fidgeted a little.

She blushed and she couldn't breath. Her mind raced and she tried to calm it enough to respond at least. "I..." she started but failed to finish. Her face was flushed. "a lover..." she said almost to soft to hear. She didn't dare look back at the stallion after she spoke her words. she stayed frozen to the spot.

A large smile grew acrossed the stallion's face as he trotted in place a little. Glad that she loved him, he licked her cheek happily then smiled. "Oh, do you want to come to the cave and get some food?" He asked hoping she would say yes to his offer. Heart beating a little faster, he trotted around the mare once awaiting her answer.
