Hello. In this thread we will be training pilots into a functioning and deadly squadron. This is a Rebellion squadron, but we will not be a typical squadron. X-Wings, though accepted, are not necessary and you will be providing your own craft. We will be needing twelve pilots, not including myself, about five techs and those not immediately accpeted into the squadron will remain as trainees to replace any casualties that will occur. As with any functional fighter squadron casualties will happen, but through training we can keep them to a minimum.
The squad arrangement will be this, you will be paired with one other pilot that I feel will compliment your particular skills. No RP sample will be necessary, but a character sample will be. For example, this is my character:
Name: Ban Lystra
Homeworld: Corellia
Occupation: Pilot, formerly a sergant.
Prefered Craft: TIE Interceptor, but capable of flying X-Wings and some basic shuttle crafts.
Affliation: Imperial deserter
Languages: Basic, Functional Bocce, and limited Huttese.
Appearence: Height-1.76 meters
Weight-99.79 kilograms
Hair- Brown and cut short, not clean shaven face
Build- Stocky with broad shoulders
Eye color- Hazel with promenent green flecks
Personality: Introverted and shy, but confident and authoritive in the cockpit.
I will serve as Eclipse Leader, but i won't allways be with you on missions. Once i feel you are trained enough I will permit the pilot who has earned the designation of Eclipse 1 to lead most missions. I will only be involved if the situation is particularly dangerous.
All that being said i hope to see many of you in the cockpit soon.
*Last minute edit: if there are enough reserve pilots then a sub squadron will be formed.

Squadron Goals:
Eclipse Squadron is being created as an alternative to Rogue Squadron. Since Rogue Squadron is a symbol for the Alliance they cannot partake in missions taht might "tarnish" their image. That is where we will come in. This squad is being formed to do the dangerous, suicidal, and by far most exciting missions there are. smile So if you think you're brave enough you'll do well in this squad. The hope is that Eclipse Squadron will gain the skills and prestige that we will spear head the assault on Imperial Center and end this war once and for all.

My ship specs? I'm not sure. Well it can go up to 600mph. Its fuel is dark matter.
.It has two ball lazer cannons on the sides witch two gunnners controle. One lazer connon on top it has proton torpedos and homing missles which the piolet controles. It has romote rockets which to co-poilet controles.And is built out of titanium alloy. Is that what you meen by specs?

We may have to rewire your craft," Ban says as he punches up his engines and heads for the Trough.

"your rank will be determined by your run through the Trough. Epo recieved his designaton because of his experiance. " Ban edges his fighter down towards an atmosphereless moon with a long trench,"Gentlemen, welcome to the Trough, who wants to be the first victim?" (You'll make your run and i'll tell you the obstacles in your path, this is a nonlethal exersize.)
