my very first one was for horse camp, i got it as a birthday present in 7th grade, i rode a horse named Sammie and i had a blast, i don't remember much about it, cause it was only a week, and never rode before or after that. But my first lesson of real riding was 2 or 3 years ago, an eval. i rode a horse named blue eyes, and he was cool...i was really happy/nervous and excited to get to ride!

My first lesson was on a horse named Nicky. I had my instructor beside me, and all I did was walk. I remeber it being very fun.

i can remember i was on a thoroghbreed named laddy i was ridding bareback he was their biggest horse litterally bigger than their shire stallion and well i feel off of him hit the ground and got back on thats about all i can remember about it though

My first lesson was on a little white shaggy pony named Cotton. I remember the people at the barn trying to tell me the difference between Cotton and another little pony named Silver who could have been his twin. I listened, but I was never able to tell them apart XD I remember putting on the bridle gave me great grief, I could not figure out the jumble of leather they gave to me. The instructor never showed me how to correctly tack up, and a gruff lady who was cleaning stalls helped me with that. Probably not the best first lesson experience, but riding Cotton was worth it, as he carried me through learning the walk/trot/canter, the learning of my diagonals, and jumping. I later outgrew him and moved on to another farm, but one day I ran across an article in the local paper that Cotton had been put to sleep. I was devestated, but knew he was old, and having troubles by what the paper stated. He had been a county icon, and will always be remembered.

My first lesson was on a Mountain Pony called Gypsie. I was nervous, but I was led around the "Playground" (its paddocks with lots of different things; like jumps, trails, pole bending etc) I had alot of fun ^^

All the lessons I took as a kid are such a jumble, I have no idea what came first! Before I started lessons though, I used to ride my aunt's horses. My earliest horse memory was sitting on her pony in the back yard for about 4 hours because everyone forgot about me and I was much too small to get down by myself!

The first time I rode (other than pony rides at the fair) was when I was less then 7 at my nextdoor neighbors house. I remember having to be on the trampoline in order to get on the horse so that the girl who owned the horse could lead me around.
My first lesson was when I was 8 or 9 (I got 4 lessons for my birthday) on a little brown and white pony named Dusty. I can't remeber if I rode by myself or if someone was walking next to me on the first lesson. But those 4 lessons haven't stopped yet...
