So, has anyone been on the official site or been reading the blogs by the actors/director/Larson's family? I saw the trailer in theatres last week when I went to see Bewitched (Which I had to see because it has Kristin Chenoweth in it).

I'm loving it so far, though I'm really hating Rosario Dawson...

Bewitched has Kristin Chenoweth in it? Oh man...to think I wasn't going to see it. eek

And I am trying to fight the urge to despise Rosario, because she might be good, and I'd end up feeling like a p***k.

Idina Menzel is in Rent the movie. That is why she left Wicked to film it. Kristin is in Bewitched!?!? YAY!!!!!!!!

The trailer was out about a week before it should've been. ^_^ Illegal? Mebbe...

The movie have all of the original cast except for Mimi, played by Rosario Dawson, and Joanne, played by Tracie Thoms.

And not only is Kristin in Bewitched, but Carole Shelley is too! ^_^ I <3 her.

I saw the trailor on the computer a while ago and the saw it in theaters when I went to see Bewitched. I squeeled. I can't wait for it. I want to give Rosario Dawson a chance though, I'm just glad that most of the original cast is going to be in it, I thought they were going to do a whole re-cast....I couldn't stand that much of a change whee

Saw the RENT trailer a LOOONG time ago. Remember, folks...the trailer is "Seasons of Love" with a bunch of clips. We don't really have anything to base our opinions on Rosario Dawson on yet. Let's wait that one out. I'm going to miss Daphne like hell, but she can't do it because A: when they started filming, she was preggers, and B: she currently looks WAY too old to play Mimi anymore. The line "you look like you're sixteen" in "Light My Candle" would just cause audiences to bust a gut laughing.

Idina Menzel is in Rent the movie. That is why she left Wicked to film it. Kristin is in Bewitched!?!? YAY!!!!!!!!

Actually, Idina was leaving the show before she took the role in the movie... my theory is she and Taye are looking to start a family, because before they took the parts in the Rent movie, she had nothing solid planned. And even now that the movie is done filming, she only has some concerts planned, nothing full time.

Yeah, what happened with that is some website got a hold of the offical trailer, but they didn't know that they were not suppose to release it until after AOL did. When they did a bunch of people downloaded it, and by the time they took it down, so many people had it already that they started passing it around to all their buddys.
I had it before it was suppose to come out. Hehe!

I'm actually GLAD that they got someone else to play Mimi. It's gonna be weird and all, but I was not the biggest fan of Daphne. I really don't think that she would have gone over well on screen with people that are not Rent OCB superfans.

P.S. Don't go see Bewitched. Cheno rocks and the random Carole cameo is fun, but overall the movie is pretty stupid. Not really worth it. Wait and rent it when it comes to DVD in two months.

Good point. I searched on the internet and found clips of Dina singing in 'Aida'.
