Oki, here it is! I hope you like it so far! (it's not finished)

A small whisper came into Edward's mind as he stood in the dark, damp, alleyway of the buildings. "Edward don't..." He took a step forward. "Please..." Edward turned around, half-expecting her to be there, but when he looked, empty. The alleyway as empty as his broken heart. Could he do it? Die and leave her just like that? He pondered this in his mind. If it meant not seeing her ever again then no, but what else could he do? It would endanger her to be with him, yet being with her is all he wanted. Why must life, or....sort of life, be so confusing? He took another step forward and the voice screamed in his head. "Edward I miss you!" Was this voice actually...her? Or was it his imagination playing with his mind? Or even another girl all together? Edward looked back again, wanting, wishing, for her to be there. The girl he admired secretly. The one who smelled, oh so wonderful. Who was radiant with every clumsy move that she made. Why couldn't he resist her?

"Is it you?" Edward asked, waiting for an answer. But none came.

He walked closer to the sunny, human filled plaza. Then, just as he was about to step into the sun, the voice came again. "Edward...Edward please, stop!"

"Well, even if it isn't you, I will stop." He said, noticiing some people oddly staring at him, probably wondering why he was talking to himself in such a manner. He walked back into the alley, away from the sunlight, and the voice thanked him.

Edward sat, awaiting her in science. The girl who 'spoke' to him in his mind. She sat right next to him, and showed no signs of affection for him, if anything she showed signs of fear, and the opposite of affection. But what did he know? He couldn't read her mind. This was strange to him however, not having the ability to read someone's inner thoughts for once. She was the only one who had this power over him. She was the only one that could hide her thoughts from him, unknowingly even.

And there she was...She walked in and took her seat beside Edward, not bothering to take a look, even a glance at him what-so-ever. Did she hate him? Edward wondered, had he done something to upset her? Maybe it was just his being there that upset her. Well, he would never know unless he spoke to her. "Hello." He said the first thing that came to mind. "My name is Edward, what's yours?"

"Uhm...hi?" She said, scooting her chair a little bit opposite from him. "I know your name, and I'd like to keep mine to myself."

It occured to Edward that she didn't, in fact, show signs of affection, or anything at all but madness really. All he said was hello, and said his name, asking for hers. Yet all she said was that she'd wanted to keep it to herself. Why did she hate him so?

The teacher talked endlessly, something about neurons, but Edward didn't follow. The only thing he focused on was her endless beauty. He couldn't stop thinking about her...everything about her was filled with wonder, and he had to know her name. "Are you angry with me?" He whispered to her.

She turned to him. "Well, at the beginning, I spoke to you, and you were silent, so why shouldn't I be angry with you?" She whispered back. "And now, all of a sudden, you're asking my name? You expect me to forget the rudeness you showed me just a few weeks ago?"

"Uh...well, I am sorry about that..." Edward said, keeping his voice down low as the teacher still talked. "But I'd like to start over, please, can I just know your name?"

"Bella, if you must know." She turned, paying no more attension to him, and just watched the teacher.

Bella...what a wonderful name...Edward sighed, wishing he had been more respectful to her in the beginning. It was true that he had ignored her, but it was for her own good! Oh, if only she knew...

Edward's mind wandered throughout class, and just as the teacher began a new subject the bell rang. "Well then class, I guess you should go."

"Uhm, Bella?" Edward said as she got up, her books glued to her arms and chest.

"Yes?" She asked, turning towards him.

"I....I'm sorry about ignoring you, and I'd tell you why I did...but...I can't."

"Oh, you can't? Why not? Can you at least tell me that?"

"Listen, it's comlicated, and it's not that I wouldn't like to tell you, it's just that I can't tell you. I'm sorry about that too." He said as she started to walk away.

"Well then, I'll be seeing you around...Edward..." She walked out the door, leaving him alone in the science room, even the teacher had gone, and the lights were now out.

Edward sat on the warm grass. He usually wouldn't be out in the sun, but today, was a different day. It was Saturday, and Edward felt sadness starting to creep up on him. He really didn't want Bella to be mad, and he wanted to tell her! But it just wasn't that simple.

Then, he heard a ruffle in the bushes beside the forest and layed stiff. If somebody saw him when it was sunny, then this spelled bad news for Edward and his family. He didn't dare moving an inch, he didn't even breathe, and he hoped that the tall grass would sheild him from the eyes of the one who made the sound.

"Hello?" Bella said quietly as she started to walk out into the field.

'Bella?' Edward thought. "Uhm...yes?" He said, sitting up. Well, she probably would've found him anyway, so he might as well give himself up now. "It's me, Edward."

"I know you you...." She paused. "I-is that you? You look so...."

"Shiny? Yeah, that's me." He said, standing up now.

"But why are you so...shiny?" She asked, reaching out to touch his face.

"Well, this is the complicated part that I couldn't quite tell you back at school, and I really didn't think I would be telling you any time soon, or at all really." He chuckled. "But I guess the jig is up. I might as well tell you."

"Tell me...what?" She looked confused.

"I'm a vampire Bella. A vampire."

Bella stepped back a bit. "Y-you mean....you're really a...." She said.

"Vampire." Edward finished her sentence. "Yes, I'm assuming this bothers you very much?"

"W-well, I-I don't know...."

Edward looked down, and then took a glance back up at Bella. He sighed as he started to walk away.

"Wait!" She said running up to him and putting a hand on his arm. It was freezing. "Answer this one question."

"Yes?"

"Well really it's two....Okay, one, do you drink human blood?" She asked, sort of scared of what her answer might be.

"No, and your other question?"

"Uhm....do you....like me at all?"

His eyes widened a bit. Was he dreaming? "Yes Bella! Yes!" He said as he pulled her into a hug and tears rolled down her eyes.

Edward layed on his bed. "Why do I have a bed if I don't sleep?"He thought out loud.

"Something is on your mind." Alice said, suddenly standing at his door. "I had a vision of you and a girl....who is she?"

"You know, you're little 'talent' get's on my nerves sometimes. It makes you a very nosey person." He said, sitting up. "Her name is Bella.

"Really now? The one who just moved here? Doesn't she hate you?"

"No, I found out she likes me actually."

"Hmm....you should go see her."

He stood up. "You think so?"

"Yeah, I had a vision just know of you in her room, and the calender had x's on all the days before today, so it must've been today."

"Yeah, I was thinking about seeing her, but I wasn't really sure, thanks Alice."

"No problem." And in just a moment, they were both gone.

Edward climbed the tree in front of Bella's window and looked in. Just as Alice said, she was there. He opened the window and came in. "Hello Bella." He said, looking at Bella who was sitting on her bed.

"Edward? How do you know where my house is?" Bella asked, a little confused.

"Hm. Well, I have a special talent." He said, sitting on her bed beside her.

"What kind of special talent?"

"I can read minds, so I read your father's mind and I found out where your house was."

"Oh, well then why didn't you just read my mind silly?"

"For some reason, your mind is different....somehow, you're immune to my power."

"That's weird. Well, Edward, I'm just wondering, but, why did you come here? Not that I don't want you to be here, because I do."

"Well, Alice, my sister, had a vision of me being over here today, and well, I was thinking about coming over today, so I did."

"Oh, you're sister has a special talent too?"

"Well, she's not really my sister, but yes, she does. She can see the future, but it's not always the definate future."

"Okay, but you still haven't answered my real question...."

"And what exactly is that?"

"Why did you come here? I mean, what is your reason for coming over?"

"Well actually, to tell you the truth, I really don't know." He chuckled. "I guess, I jsut wanted to be with you." They heard footsteps coming up the stairs.

"It's my dad! Hide somewhere!" She whispered as Edward ran and jumped out the window.

"Bella? Was someone else in here? I thought I heard another voice." Charlie, Bella's dad asked as he opened her door.

"Nope, I'm just talking to myself, sorry." She said, smiling.

"Okay, well, I'll be out for a while today, so you'll be on your own until about eight thirty." He said, closing the door and walking back downstairs.
