since they were mainly made in the factory.
so anyways.
I was looking up stuff on the VU for the biography I'm working on, and I was like, heyyy, lets look up Andy Warhol!!
I get around to his movies, and I don't know much about them, but I knew most of them are naked movies and that they were very far out.
Yeah, then I read a description of one, and it was 6 hours of someone sleeping. And gay cowboy films. (and if anyone knows where I could see any of his films, I'd really appreciate it, I'd love to see them)
But that isn't the point of this topic. The point is that there is a film called Chelsea Girls, which makes me happy, since my name is Chelsea. (I know its after the Hotel, but still). I know Nico is in the movie, and I know she has a song called Chelsea Girls.
Ok, lets discuss the relevancy of the song and movie, Warhol movies in general, etc. etc. <33

You can get Chelsea girls on ebay, but it's coded for every country except the US...so you'd need a special DVD player n TV sad
There used to be vids on You Tube of it, but I can't find them :/ I swore I favourited them, too.
I also have Beauty #2 on my comp XD
And did you read that the sleeping man movie was called Sleep and it was part of a series. The others were called Eat and Drink, I think. XD Duno I read that a loong time ago so I could be wrong.
I also really, really wanna see Vinyl, which is Andy's version of Clockwork Orange before the actual Clockwork Orange movie was made, and Poor Little Rich Girl. Those are both on Ebay biggrin
EDIT: Oh, oh I wanna see Women in Revolt, too. That one's the easiest to get, I think. XD

There are loads of videos on Youtube...He (andy) used to put a camera on anyone who came into the factory. So theres a few of edie somewhere...also, one of his first films was a camera pointed at the ESB for 24 hours...interesting in concept, but boring in real life.

Empire was originally twenty-four hours long, but I don't believe the full-length cut exists any more. I remember someone complaining about it on a film community I'm a member of, and someone (quite correctly) put up that they could just stare at a screenshot for twenty-four hours and get the same effect.
I've watched a small portion of Beauty#2, and it looked really interesting. Other than that, I know of most of his film but've never seen them.
And I'm also in the extremely lucky position of being able to get pretty much all of his films any time I want. Or at least twenty-six of them. I'm thinking of picking up Vinyl for viewing later. : x

He filmed it in 25 frames per second, and released it as 16 frames per second, so it added 2 hours to the film.
