Jay was sitting on one of those high walls --ya know the ones that go as high as your neck--, drinking from a small boxed carton of grape juice. He was waiting for Neo to come back with ice creams he had gone to fetch. With Jay's current living arrangements and Neo being busy with University, the two best friends rarely saw each other anymore.

The blonde art student slid his gaze around, the straw still held between his lips even if he had no use for it at that particular moment. He let out a breath, he hated being alone. His mini digital camera was on a bright cord around his neck, a cartoon skull keychain hanging next to it. He had grown accustomed to his shorter hair and it was held back in two low ponytails, the overlayers hanging out. He swung his blackbooted feet back and forth like a child, his white three quarter length pants making a soft sound as they scraped against the concrete stones. He wore a black sleeveless turtle-neck jumper aswell, white skull earrings dangling from his ears.

'I haven't seen him around before....' Jay thought, his gray eyes wide in surprise as he studied a tall figure sitting on a bench a few feet away, smoking. Jay wrinkled his nose in distaste, that was a nasty habit and he was trying everything to discourage Neo and Aiden from doing it.

Jay blinked, and was midly taken back when the stranger turned a cold look his way. That was certainly something he found thoroughly not nice. So he turned his gaze to the Undera hidden in the bushes at the base of the wall he was perched on. Merethist had insisted that he be allowed to tag along, and Jay readily agreed as the little Undera was hardly out of the house anymore.

"ay! no lookie!" the Undera yelled noisily, poking his head out from the bushes. He stood out, being blue skinned and having blue hair with horns on the side of his head. Jay took a peek to see if the stranger not-so-friendly person had noticed his Undera's outburst. He then diverted his gaze down and held a finger to his lips in a quieting motion.

"shh Mere" he insisted quietly, silently wondering what people would think if they though he named and talked to bushes. He sighed as the Undera frowned up at him before diving back into the bush in a flurry of ribbons.

"Jay! here's your order! double chocolate chip with a fudge stick!" a boy with two-toned colored hair called as he walked along the path, two cones and a packet in his hands. He had black hair but the tips and his fringe were dyed a green color, like the leaves. Jay jumped down from the wall, narrowly missing falling into the bush as his friend drew closer and handed him a cone.

"thanks Neo" he thanked happily, while Neo chcuked the packet--containing an ice-pop-- into the bushes for Merethist, who upon recieving the food, yipped in delight.

*Soubi finished his cigarette and got up,not noticing the rude outburst. They were probably curious about him and he was not about to get upset over that minor detail. It crossed his mind that Ristuka intended to get some sweets before he left. Far be it to see Ritsuka empty handed and he could meet him in the bake shop, by accident of course. He knew very well Ritsuka and his friends had a fondness for sweets. It was best not to indulge too much however, It wasn't healthy. On his way to the bakery he passed by a young woman with silver eyes. He glanced at her momentarily and then went on his way to the shop next door. Soubi wondered if she were still looking at him through the glass as he picked out some french crullers and some other assorted doughnuts. he made extra effort to pick out the best looking ones. Only the best was desired for his master.*

*Ritsuka walked down the street drinking a orange mango sunrise. At least thats what the guy called it but to him it tasted like pears. He was musing on coded messages and the memory of his brother. It was amazing how fast things could change in so short of a time. Soubi and him had gotten close, very close. now that the misunderstandings were out of the way he could enjoy how things were. He turned into a cafe to get an Ice cream when suddenly he straightened, sensing something nearby. His cat ears flattened and he frowned. Something was going on but he couldnt tell exactly what it was. Still so very new at this so he was bound to get frustrated. Ritsuka left the line and walked toward the wall, pressing a soft hand up to it, wondering who he sensed. Was it a friend or was it a fighter unit going into battle?*
